Hidden notification div hiding part of maximise button

This is a weird one. An invisible notification div sometimes makes it hard to click on the maximise note button. There seems to be a problem with notification pop-ups not appearing or dissappearing after a while without being clicked away. Has anyone else encountered this? When I reload the page the problem seems to go away.
