QUESTION: Running EN on LINUX?

Recommended Posts

Hello EN Power Users:

Has anyone gotten Evernote to recently run on Linux?

I am ready to convert a new SimplyNUC Win 10 box to Linux Mint:

- Intel NUC6i5SYH (Swift Canyon)
- 6th Generation (Skylake) Intel Core i5-6260U Processor (4MB Cache, up to 2.90GHz)
- Kingston Technology HyperX Impact 16GB RAM DDR4 2133 HX421S13IBK2/16
- Samsung 850 EVO - 500GB - M.2 SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-N5E500BW)
- Windows 10 Home 64

Thank you in advance for any comments or recommendations.

~ Alan

Hi Alan.  I'm also running one laptop on Mint but I've made do so far with the browser version of Evernote - my main need is to view,  clip and make notes rather than do any serious level of database maintenance.  Evernote Web had done reasonably well for me so far - though I tend not to use the beta version;  it's still missing too many options.  There are threads in the Forums about running Evernote on Linux via Wine,  but my 'backup' laptop is seriously underpowered and I'm doubtful about its speed in that setup.

Howdy, @gazumped.

Much appreciate you getting back.

I have reviewed the Linux-Wine threads prior to posting... however they're quite dated... which is why I used "recently" in my question.

Thank you,  ~ Alan

Any current Linux users with EN experience?
