Annoying messages

My apologizes if this has been discussed before.  I'm new to this forum but I did some searches and couldn't find anything.

Several times a day my IPhone beeps with a generic message from Evernote that promotes Evernote.  Either I should 'Remember the Milk' or something else to do with Evernote.

I have set my options to 'not receiving reminder emails'.

These aren't emails but messages that appear, beep and disappear in a few seconds.

Can someone help me to stop them.
