Youtube clip format - add the duration of video

Jozef Barna

Idea

Hi, I've been using Evernote for some time now as a tool for the GTD (Getting things done) way of handling my TODO lists. I am also a big fan of the Youtube clip format, which helps me to sort the videos I would like to watch. I was wondering if it would be possible to parse also the duration of the clipped video and put the duration somewhere into the note. Now, when processing my inbox notebook, I need to open every URL of youtube videos to know how long it is, to assign the proper tags to it. The added duration would simplify the proper sorting of the videos.

Hi.  Nice suggestion,  but the duration of a video is normally shown on the hosting page.  It would be pretty easy to add 23:07 (or whatever) to the title of a clip for later sorting.  The chances of Evernote automating this for a very small number of users...  I'd guess about 1%.
