there seems to be no way to disable getting this annoying announcement every time one clicks a link within evernote. is this really the case? what are we, children?

Hey. What are you talking about? I am using Evernote daily and don't see any annoying announcement? But then I use the Premium version and not Basic. Can you please elaborate?

Yup.  It happens.  Moaned about several times before,  but many websites now do this.  Evernote may not be the best place to keep bookmark-style notes.

(basically: if you're using chrome, you can use tampermonkey to add a userscript that will automatically click past the page for you). Tampermonkey I think is available for most browsers, so it should solve your problem - certainly works well for me on Chrome (on linux).

Yes, that feature request now has 92 upvotes, a very high number. I've managed to stop yelling every time this message pops up (words sounding like "no chucking spit" kept coming out of my mouth), but the message literally makes no sense at all. Premium vs. Basic makes no difference. I don't keep URL-list notes, but I have a certain number of URLs in notes, and I only ever click one when I want to leave Evernote and go to the linked site. I have to stop writing this post--it's raising my blood pressure just to think about it.

It's still a problem. though, now, I've gotten into a habit of Right-clicking the links and clicking Open link in new tab in chrome. I'm sure other browsers have it too.

Hi - I'm reluctant to use a script from (no disrespect) an unknown source;  could you give some more details about how this works,  and what version(s) of Evernote it works on?  And have you run it past Evernote themselves?  They're pretty reactive these days - I don't know whether they could or would consider offering any option within the app...
