Disable keyboard shortcuts for text formatting | Firefox | Mac

Hi all,

I use a Mac to access the web client on Firefox. The web client enforces the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + <Number> to allow formatting of text. The default behavior of the browser is to cycle through tabs. Can the app's text formatting shortcuts be disabled via an option somehow ? I want the default behavior of the browser - to cycle through tabs back. Note that this issue does NOT occur on Google Chrome.
