shekala 56
Is there a way to search across all notebooks but exclude one of them? I can't seem to figure out the syntax for such a search. Thanks! Link to comment

shekala 56
ahh, that's a shame. Thanks for the feedback. I suppose the only work around is to search across multiple notebooks - is that possible and/or do you have any other workaround suggestions? Link to comment

No, notebooks are are also excluded from multiple entries. Note, tags can be multiple/negated, which could be useful by assigning a temporary tag to the notes If the notebooks were in a stack, the stack could be searched. Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 11,524 Posted June 5, 2019 Level 5* Share Posted June 5, 2019 - Or, oddly, go to the notebook to be excluded and select all notes. Assign a temporary tag. Go back to All Notes & set up your search "... -tag:<temporary>"... Link to comment
shekala 56
Thanks. I find it really odd that such basic search features are not available. They used to brag about how practically anything is searchable. it's a shame. 1 Link to comment
