iMac clipper: how to save clips to specific notebooks

I use the iMac desktop clipper a lot and its a useful tool. However I do not seem to be able to save the notes to individual notebooks (as you can when you take screenshots on iPhone or Ipad), just to the default notebook. That's annoying, as I then need to go to the application to move the saved notes from the default notebook to the notebook where I really want to have them.
