Where did the Add Reminder button go?

Recommended Posts

I've been away from Evernote for a while, but didn't there used to be an "Add Reminders..." button on the notes toolbar? Even the help document shows one (see below). There's an "Add Reminders..." item in the dropdown under the ellipses but I'd prefer the button rather than digging into a menu each time. Same with Info and Delete. All I'm seeing in v7.10 (Mac) is a big green (and useless to me) "Share" button.

Is there no way to customize this?

Thanks,

Jack

You're really late to the discussion on this.

No, there's no toolbar customization.

Not at the moment.  The powers that be thought the big green share button was much more important than lowly reminders ...

Alrighty then! I was hoping I'd just missed something simple. A quick search didn't reveal the barrage of outrage I was expecting :).

Thanks for pointing out the related thread!

In EN for the MAC when I am in a note I don't see a reminder/clock button in the little tool bar for the note.  All there is is a space for tags and a green share button.  I can click on the dots to the right of the share button to get a drop down menu for reminders, but this is annoying.  Anybody know how to get the clock button back?

Pic attached..showing an absence of buttons!

There is no option, however the clock icon appears if the reminder is active

Just in the last few days I've noticed that in new notes I'm creating (on a Mac) I'm not seeing the icon for "reminder". The only button that is there is for "Share" and then the three dots that I can click on to set a reminder. I find not having the icon there really annoying since I use it a lot. Did I accidentally set some screen option? Is this a new upgrade from Evernote? Is there a way to get the icon back?

Thanks for any help anyone can be,

Hilary

In the last few weeks at some point my notes have stopped having the usual icons at the top right corner. Where there were icons for delete and reminder etc. there is now only a button for "Share." Is this because of an update? Did I accidentally do something to make this happen? More importantly, what can I do to get back the icon feature, which I used a lot?

I'm not sure if it is related, but the sidebar of my Evernote home used to be a nice dark black, with white letters. Now it is a gray, and kind of hard to read. I don't think I did anything to change it. I have shut down my computer and still have the problem.

Thanks for any help you can be,

Hilary

f you need it often, maybe you create your own keyboard shortcut to set a reminder quickly and without clicking around. It think it should be possible to do so using the Macs build in tools.

I created a keyboard shortcut2079991109_ScreenShot2020-02-13at11_35_32AM.png.8febd0d314ac3a181086adb7c79d4455.png for Add Reminder as per the screenshot
Unfortunately it only works when the ... menu is visible

Personally I use an AppleScript, triggered by 87157292_ScreenShot2020-02-13at11_41_32AM.png.f5734d42b6d9350eb044dd17f6ce67ce.png
