Frequency of updates is very annoying

Hi. The frequency of update notifications in Evernote for Windows is very annoying. Honestly I don't care about little fixes and little features here and there. I just want to use the product as it is and not be disturbed in my work from pop-ups that come every few weeks. Can you include a setting to deactivate these pop-ups? I don't get why companies seem to think that pop-up notifications on a regular basis are ok. Your tool is supposed to help with productivity, not the opposite.

Tools -> Options -> General page

Uncheck "Automatically check for updates"

In the past it took months to fix critical bugs, now EN interacts more with the forum and is  more responsive with hotfixes  I don't care about the frequency of updates if this improves the quality of the product...
