Formatting of notes removed when syncing

Hello Evernote Community! I've been using Evernote for years without issues, but after the most recent update my notes keep losing their formatting (especially spacing) after syncing. So it looks fine when I am typing new notes, I add spaces and returns, but after syncing they are all gone. On the computer AND on my phone. Any idea what could cause this? Thanks so much!
