Hi all,

I have lost some of my very important notes multiple times while doing this.

Platform - Mac Desktop app, version -  Version 7.2.3 (456885 Direct)

Steps to reproduce:

- select a note , it should appear in the right pane

- start typing in "search notes" on top right

- press Cmd + Delete

Current Behavior - The current note is deleted and needs to be restored from Trash every time this happens

Expected Behavior:  Only the text in the search bar should disappear

Shouldn't it show expected behavior - i.e. only deleting the search bar content?

Thanks for your help!

My understanding is Cmd + Delete is used by Evernote/Mac to delete a note
Are you posting a feature request?

fwiw  On a Mac, we can change the Evernote shortcut

That is correct.  But CMD+Delete is also a standard macOS shortcut to delete text from the current text cursor position back to the start of the line.

So, IMO, anytime the cursor is in a text box, CMD+Delete should NOT delete the Note, only the text.
