Select line or paragraph NOT select all

On my computer I position cursor at point A, hold down the shift key and position cursor at end of line or paragraph, and "copy". How do I do the equivalent on my tablet? I know about holding the tap, but that only gives you the choice to "select all". How do I select a line or paragraph or whatever the selection is from point A to point B?

Hi.  It's easier with a stylus,  but if you can select one or more words,  have a look at the blobs at the beginning and end of the selection.  Drag one of those up or across to select more words and lines,  and stretch the selection until you have all you need.

Bless you! It never dawned on me that the blobs were like handles. Worked great even with my finger.
