Request: Keyboard Shortcut for "Move note to notebook and then switch to that notebook"

joschaf

Idea

Almost daily I find myself wanting to move a note to another notebook and then switch to that notebook. Using keyboard shortcuts this is very cumbersome as I have to hit ctrl + cmd + M, type in the (first characters of the) name of the notebook, then hit cmd + J followed again by the (first characters of the) name of the same notebook. I feel this could be simplified. Basically, I would love to have a keyboard shortcut to combine ctrl + cmd + M and cmd + J so that I only have to type the name of the notebook once.

Or does anyone know another way to achieve that?

Since we're using Macs, this could be scripted using Applescript.
I do this often.

tell application "Evernote" to move theNote to notebook theNotebook
tell application "Evernote" to set query string of window 1 to theQuery
