Sync showing red exclamation point!

Hi Evernote Community-

For several months now Evernote has been showing me a red exclamation point over the synchronization arrows on Windows Evernote. I've made sure that I have the latest version, 6.13.14.7474 (307474) Public (CE Build ce-48.0.5483).

Can you please help me troubleshoot why it is not syncing properly?

What version of Windows are you using? If Windows 7 there was an issue in the past wherein Internet access would get blocked. May or may not be the issue, but here is a link that addresses the SSL issue.

Otherwise, try going to All Notes context and pressing the Ctrl key while clicking on the sync icon. This will display any notes that are having issues syncing. Modify the notes in some way and then sync to see if the issue goes away.

I'm on Windows 10 and I tried going into "All Notes" and hitting the CTRL key while clicking sync and no notes pop up...

Any other suggestions?

Go to top list notes view (Ctrl+F7) and look for a column header named "Sync" (add it if you don't see it). Now sort by the "Sync" column; any notes that have sync problems will have a dot in that column, otherwise it will be empty.

Can you login to evernote on the web using Internet Explorer? If not, that's the problem. We connect to the internet using IE's transport layer.

I am able to login to Evernote web using IE. Funny enough all looks to be up-to-date on the web version...so not sure why the sync is showing the red exclamation!

There are no notes with an * in the sync column...

But I'm just noticing that miraculously with some sort of glitch I had to re-install Evernote and it seems to be syncing now!

Same here, sporting notes not synced since March 31. No solution in sight.

All notes since 8/16 or a subset? If a subset try editing one of them, add a couple x's to the title or whatever, and then sync.

Okay that says no sync error notes. Anything similar about the un-synced notes? Notebook, tag, ...

So the problematic machine started working again on 6/7 but left some orphans from before then? On the "good" machine you could try adding a dummy tag to all the notes that haven't synced, this will force them to sync and reset the web status. After that sync is complete sync the "bad" machine. See if this helps.

My solution was in the Windows internet settings. This post helped me sort it out:
