If we could have like a binder category and title that say recipes, the put note books, such as breakfast, lunch, desserts etc. then our notes could be individual recipes. Link to comment

Evernote supports two fields for organization: Notebooks and Tags Notebooks can be grouped into Stacks Tags can be organized into an unlimited hierarchy Either of these fields allows for organization into Recipes Breakfast Lunch Deserts Recipes could be a stack, and the other entries notebooks My preference is to use tags. It allows additional levels, plus alternate hierarchies; for example Meat Type, Vegan/Carnivore, ... Link to comment

The current situation is not likely to change in the near future; meantime what you have is: Stacks contain Notebooks, which contain Notes. That's it. Link to comment
