We first tried re-installation of Evernote and then I deleted (including the Evernote trash) the 11 local notes, neither worked. The problem was resolved last night by Evernote support. I had to move the local cache directory on my mac out of the way to allow a new sync to proceed. The location of this directory was found by <Option Key>Help/Troubleshooting/Open Database Folder Thanks for the help, Anthony Link to comment
