Mac desktop client: Version 7.1.1 (456663 Direct) 
Editor: 45.1.5170 (bfe1ee3) 

Steps: 
Open Evernote 
Go to a notebook in the snippet view with a note open on the right hand side 
At the top of each note there is a link to change the notebook the note is in, click this 

Result: 
As of fairly recently: when I click this Evernote hangs and I get the "beachball". 

Comment: 
There is a workaround (right click the note on the left in the snippet view and select "Move to"), but the issue should not occur.
