torfiin 1
Hi everybody, so i have the following problem: Evernote finds the note belonging to a keyword only if it is on the screen. Here comes the example. If i search here, for example for "DRS" - then it works. As shown in this picture: BUT, if i search for an older note, Evernote doesn´t find anything. For example the note "stadtbote". it definitely exists, but i can´t find it via evernote search: I have this problem since may 1 - 2 months, appeared first after one of the last updates. Thank you very much in advance Best regards, Torfin Link to comment
bleather59 0
I am so frustrated with search. I've never had much luck with it, but occasionally it worked, so I thought it was just me. Today, I've tried everything. It finds notes, but I cannot search within a note. I scan upwards of 50 pages in some notes--a client's payable receipts. When I need to find a specific receipt, I have to manually scroll through the pdf. I do not have the eye icon anymore that open the Evernote pdf reader. I can download the file (what a waste), or open it with Edge. No matter what I do, search (find) does not highlight matches. I've tried the Windows desktop app, Edge, Chrome, and Firefox. When I execute a search, I get the notes with the search term. Within the individual note, I can scroll through the pdf - the search term is highlighted At any point, I can right-click the pdf to open the pdf in a dedicated pdf reader app (Acrobat). This gives me more extensive search features. Link to comment

Merv K 0
Im a Premium user and just upgraded to 7.2. I used to love love love Evernote, but now the search function doesnt work!!!! Grrrrrr I do a search and barely anything appears in the search results.... when I know there are lots. Im a power user and have recommended Evernote to loads of people. Now Im embarrassed. Search is soooooo important to quickly find documents. I want my money back. Or is there a way to get search running again. Evernote is now completely useless if I cant find documents quickly. Thanks Merv Link to comment
twf 4
Merv K - you have to reindex to get it to be fully functional again. And I found it takes a several hours after starting the reindex for it to take effect. Reindex today, and tomorrow it most likely will be fully functional for you again. Link to comment
