numbers in parenthesis

Recommended Posts

I assume the number in parenthesis next to a notebook name is the number of notes contained within that notebook.  If so, how can I view all the notes.  When I click on a notebook a note pops up again I assume probably the latest one but I can't view any of the other notes.  How do I do this? Thanks for answering my totally newbie question ?

On my Mac, I have a drop down list to view AllNotes, or notes in specific notebooksCB014C44-A84D-407D-ADB0-3095286E41AB.png.db60ba778639c553e05915766fc5bd6e.png

It helps to specify which Evernote client you are using: WIndows, Mac, Android, iOS, web...

On Windows, make sure that the menu item View / Note List is checked. When you pick a notebook, its notes will be displayed in a list. The list can be configured to be one of several types (snippet, list view, thumbnail, etc.) and sortable in several different ways (by title, recently updated, creation date, etc.)

If it's windows, try to hit F11 or F10 to make sure you have the Note Column enabled. Or you can hit the menu View and select Notes column.

One of these keys hide/show the notebooks column and the other hide/show the notes column.

You probably just have these columns hidden.
