Theos182 0
The iPhone app doesn’t allow me to open a ticket and I can’t open one on the web site. When I try the web site it gives me the option to submit an activity log, but when I click that it gives me instruction on how to obtain the activity log, but not submit it or open a ticket. I can’t open an important file that I have shared with a colleague. Help meeeed! Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 11,652 Posted March 30, 2018 Level 5* Share Posted March 30, 2018 Hi. With 220M+ users, Support tends to be a little slow on occasion - if you're not a paying account holder, you only options are this forum for advice from (mainly) fellow users, or https://twitter.com/evernotehelps I get that you can't open a file - are you looking on his shared copy of your note, or on your original; and when you say 'can't open' - what happens when you try? Error messages / crashes / corrupted data... Two main suggestions at the stage - look at your note from a desktop browser: log into Evernote.com and check the file and content from there. If that's not feasible, try any other copies of the note to which you have access - other devices (yours, or your colleagues...) If your file requires an app to open it, you must make sure that app is installed on the machine you're using - a Word document (forinstance) won't open if someone doesn't have the right software installed. Theos182 0
Thank you for the response. The file is a shared file and when it is selected by either user, the app freezes and requires a force shut. Link to comment

You keep using the word "file" Is this a note, or a file attachment in a note. I'd echo @gazumped's advice. Try a different device/platform; for example the web platform (www.evernote.com) Link to comment
