My sidebar is closed by default?

I used some command once I think that closed my sidebar. I reopened it, but now every time I bring up evernote the sidebar is closed by default. Anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: It's a mac

If Windows, set up the Window the way you want and then do a File - Exit.  When you restart EN the view should be maintained.

Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing.

I'm familiar with the hide/show sidebar options

I show my sidebar, but keep it minimized to just icons

Ok so I hit "show sidebar" under the "view" tab, and now it shows icons like yours does. I do prefer the whole thing though, anyway I can set it to look like this picture by default? EDIT: Nevermind! I hit hide and then show again, and it shows the full thing now. Not really sure how this all worked but it works, thanks for the help.
