All of my penultimate notes disappeared when I linked with Evernote

I have been using the Penultimate app for note taking for a while. I am not a fan of Evernote but I was told if I link the two programs Evernote would allow me to organize my notes better. I linked the two programs and now all of my old notes are gone. I have attempted to contact Evernote but they have the worst CS department. Its almost like they don't want anyone to contact them. When someone finally got back to me their advice was to log out of Penultimate and log back in. Wow, what a thought. I have months of detailed notes from clients and I hope someone here can help me figure out how to retrieve them.
