Feature Request - Customize Toolbar Shortcuts

Eduardo Estefano

Idea

I recently came into a situation where someone is a heavy user of the default COMMAND+DEL keystroke on Mac that will erase the text to the left of a line.

If you use this shortcut on the Evernote search bar, you delete the note currently highlighted on the search resutls. This happens because in Evernote, this command is the default shortcut for deleting a note.

Remembering that this command was changed from DEL to COMMAND DEL to avoid unwanted note deletion.

A global solution would be to allow the users to customize the shortcuts for the menus.

Of course, a less elegant solution would be to NOT HIGHLIGHT the first note on the search result.

On Macs, use System Preferences > Keyboard to set the shortcut for any menu item5a9ad62d557d0_ScreenShot2018-03-03at08_41_14.png.51b36a8e34cd5f5b7ba0e816e42af1e9.png

Evernote/Mac also has a built in scripting layer
Useful for a command where there's no menu item (like reminders),
or a string of commands
