No, for some reason "-notebook" was specifically excluded from the search options (documented at Evernote Search Grammar ) The best work-around I can manage is to assign a temporary tag; for example TempJournal to all the notes in notebook "Journal" I can then use -tag:TempJournal Even better, replace Notebook:Journal with Tag:Journal Link to comment
