Table sort function

Idea

It would be very useful to be able to sort table columns, ascending or descending.  Unless it already is a hidden feature within Evernote!

I could not agree more! It allows for an organisation of information--which should be Evernote's mandate.

  1. Fix bugs--have current features work without bugs
  2. Add basic options to current features (like sorting a table)
  3. Implement new feature from 'brainstorm' list or off community requests
  4. Refer to step one

Will be good to have sorting function for a table created within a note, similar to that found in Microsoft Excel programme.

Seems odd that a simple lexicographical sort per column doesn't already exist.

You'll find in Evernote Notes, a table is simply a table.

Evernote has not indicated an interest in expanding this feature, but you're welcome to add your vote to the request.  Voting buttons are in the top left corner of the discussion.

In the meantime, my solution is to switch to a dedicated editor; as mentioned Excel/Numbers has this feature, also Word/Pages.
