Cut paste issue & note history

Hi,

Weird problem, cut and pasted a portion of a note but a significant portion of the note was not part of the pasted document, and had disappeared from the original.

Undo etc. did not work, nor did checking offline version on another device.

I notice that premium has version history.  A long shot but does anyone know if this is retrospective.  I.e. if I upgrade now, has Evernote been capturing versions on historical notes, or will this only activate for notes moving forward?

The Note History backup is running constantly for all account times
As you noted, access to the data is a paid account feature.  You can subscribe for a single month
