Evernote Slow on PC, Fast on MAC

Hello,

I just started a new job and I'm on a new Windows computer with the most recent version of Evernote downloaded.  I notice that at work Evernote runs very slow. There's a lag when I want to scroll up or down in a note. I checked at home to see if, in the same note, I had the same problem on my macbook. I don't. Evernote is fast and works fine on my macbook.

Can you help me understand why and how to fix this as I will be using Evernote heavily at work and any lag is a major issue.

Not computer savvy so please over simplify.
