I am also having this problem.  Have 6.2.2 and, like the others, works fine in landscape but portrait mode has any writing showing about an inch to the left.  I’m using the original 12.9” IPAD Pro.  You Should be able to see this in the attached.  The first line was written in Landscape.  I switched to portrait and started writing under the ‘L” in landscape but you can see it is offset to the left.  The numbers were done the same and you can see that the offset is consistent.

have been seeing this last two weeks or so -- ipad pro, 10.3, latest penultimate, if I rotate, then come back, ink placement is about an inch off to the left of the pen, also happens if I leave and come back.  Quitting and coming back, things are OK again, and I cannot reproduce in other apps (i.e. note taker hd pro)

People of this forum, God knows this product was supposed to be right years ago, however its just never going to be what you want it to be because there not listening to the users on what updates this product needs to be relevant. This product is DEAD, why because people wanted Notability level features and Penultimate never delivered. They wanted Notability level accuracy with deep Evernote functiaonality in Penultimate and EN when this transitoned to this product after the purchase it never delivered. Look how horrid that update was, doesnt address anything. To all users of this product your far better off utilizing Apple Notes than this with iCloud sync. This product should’ve been integrated into EN and updated with page annotation etc...however its simply dated useless by Goodnotes and Notability , Apple notes standards and is just garbage because it fails to address what ITS USERS WANT!!!.

I purchased two BT pens on 3 generations of iPads trying to love this product , its simply a BETA of a product that should be archived. They are never going to get it right.  Do yourself a favor use Apple Notes and let them shoot this product behind the digital barn or if you want what this product should’ve been without EN integration use Notability.

With Notability you request a feature they actually respond.

So what is the best way to report bugs in the new version? As there is an issue with the Apple Pencil and the iPad Pro 10" where the writing is off by an inch, meaning it does not appear right under the pencil.

You’re posting in best place; you can also use the regular support chanels Contact Evernote Support Twitter @evernotehelps

I’m not seeing the offset problem on my iPad

Is the issue specific to Apple Pencil and Penultimate?  Do you dee it with other apps and stylus?

Where should I post to request new colors for writing? I'm an Evernote Pro subscriber and I use Penultimate for all of my class notes.

I often need multiple colors for diagrams and such. Black, blue, purple, and green are all dark and too close to easily distinguish and red and orange have a similar problem. Could we get more colors that are different enough that I can have more of a range of color for my diagrams?

Hi,

will the Penultimate dev team fix the reopening bug in near future please?

I also struggle with copy&paste tool leaving some object behind weirdly ignoring selection.

Can you help me please... I pay premium evernote subscription and this tool is useless in some situations.

Bugs are on latest Penultimate on iPad Pro 10 with ios 11.03.

I'm also having a new issue: when I changed my template from dots to something else and then back to dots, it changed the dot template so that there's a new large margin on either side of the page. It wasn't there before and it's made all of my notes narrower. Please fix this in the next update.

I also pay for a premium subscription because I use penultimate for all of my work notes and have for the past four years. All of these recent bugs have really been a disappointment.

So it's been nearly a month and there hasn't been an update to Penultimate to fix the offset problem. Has anyone heard anything about it from EN?

This product is dead, i am part of the original users of this product before it was transitoned to EN...trust me this thing will never and i mean never be what you want it to be. They are just not addressing its user base because there resources are elsewhere. Use Apple notes, penultimate good notes and don’t hinder your productivity due to ENs lack of effort in addressing its users.

You want proof of how frustrated people got with this product look at its App Store reviews...people are literally cursing on how this product is still in a beta pre iPad Pro Apple Pencil state, it just sucks.

Finally upgraded to ios 11.1 in hopes it would help — problem is still there, rotate, paper resizes, rotate back and it stays at the same zoom level, but pen is offset.  From then on only works properly sideways, or after I quit the app and resume.

Probably moving to another app at this point

Been having the same weird displacement problem on my iPad Mini 4 with any stylus I use. Only fix is to quit and then re-open the app. I've been using the drawing function in Evernote to compensate but that's clunky as hell.

Would appreciate suggestions of other iOS/Mac crossover notetaking apps at this point.

Chantal- this app has been broken and nearly USELESS for 2 months now. Please remind your team that they are now actively losing customers. Look at this forum thread? We are now discussing switching to other vendors apps in your own forum.

Sadly i have been a premium subscriber for years, EN used to be very proactive with its users. I have noticed in the years they have lost touch with their user...they used to innovate like work chat and adding new features etc, now they take immense time responding to what their users want and are soley focused on monetization with enterprise and business leaving a

1) BROKEN APPLE WATCH APP THAT DOESNT EVEN REPLAY ITS OWN VOICE RECORDINGS.

2) PENUTLIMATE BEING TOTALLY USELESS GETTING BLOWN OUT THE WATER FROM STOCK DEVICE APPS AND NOTABLITY ( PEOPLE HAVE BEEN YELLING FOR ANNOTATION AND EXPANDED TOOLS AND THEY FAIL TO LISTEN.

3) EXPANDING EVERNOTE SKETCH FOR WRITERS WITH THE APPLE PENCIL SO PEOPLE CAN WRITE A BOOK TAKE PROPER NOTES MAYBE RULES EXPANDED NOTEBOOKS ALLOWING CONTINUOS WRITING.

Sadly after years with Evernote im making the migration to Apple Notes. They at least listen to their user base and add accordingly. Evernote sadly has become to big and unresponsive to its users.

I use the smaller iPad Pro with the Apple pencil to take notes - primarily in portrait mode.  If the screen gets rotated to landscape for any reason, the text view scales up correctly to take up the available space.  However, the same is not true when rotating back.  To get the text to fit portrait mode again, I have to back out of the note using (<) to the screen showing all notes in the notebook..  This is very annoying and makes the application very difficult to use especially in for dynamic notes.  Locking the rotation is not a suitable solution as I also use a keyboard for other apps (landscape mode).

Known issue? User error?

@The Old Guido

I was having to do exactly the same, it was annoying but was the only thing that made the app usable.

I tried exporting a note this morning, and found that the export to PDF function doesn't work sometimes as well (some of the text is too light to see), and the only way to resolve it was to put a big highlight at the top of the first page, which then would force the export to PDF to work. That was the last straw for me.

I've moved everything over into GoodNotes now, not only does it have more functionality (shapes, annotate PDF etc), it works!
