Add Selected Tag to New Note

Hi,

I'm using tags to organize my stuff since they allow more nested sublevels.

One small disadvantage is that, when I'm looking at notes categorised under a tag and then add a new one, the tag is not added automatically to this note. Unlike if I was in a notebook and added a new note there.

Minor gripe, but I think it would just make sense.

I’m also leery of the freeform style for applying tags.  

On my Mac, I use a script to ensure each note gets tagged appropriately

I’ll follow up, but I suspect I won’t be able to identify the “selected” tag(s)

For me, the important point is I can assign multiple tags to a note.

You didn't specify which Evernote client you are using, but the Windows client appears to work this way, at least the current beta (version 6.63.5484).

You have to check "Assign selected tags to new notes" in options, if it's unchecked. This feature was added a long time ago.
