I had been running an older version of EN. 4-something.  I upgraded to the latest release and now sync is not functioning.

Simple test would be to create a new note, sync and see if it appears on the web or another device.

If it does, press Ctrl and click on the Sync icon.  If any notes appear they are not syncing for some reason.  Modify them and try to sync again.

Thank you for your reply.  I've already tried doing as you suggested.  It's not syncing.

Hi.  Check with the web version anyway - are all your notes present and correct?  If so,  you could exit the Evernote app,  rename the databases folder,  and uninstall / reinstall Evernote to rebuild your database from the server.  That should get around any shock the app is experiencing from being updated several versions in one go...

(NB if you had any Local Notebooks,  you'll need to export their contents,  one notebook at a time and then reimport them.  By definition local notebooks aren't stored on the server.)

Uninstall/Reinstall fixed it.  Weird.  Thank you.  What would cause this issue to occur, any idea?

Offhand I'm not sure what could cause this,  but you jumped from v4.x to 6.x in one go and I'd bet that there's at least one database restructure in there,  not to mention a complete folder migration (to fit in with Microsoft programming standards).  Seemed easier and quicker to clear out all your old files with an uninstall and rebuild a new database than to apply lots of sticky tape to the old setup.  You don't have to be amongst the first to update (if what you have works,  don't fix it!) but it's also a good idea to stay within a version or two to make sure you have security and bug fixes - and to avoid too big a jump in versions at one time.
