It's seems like most modern applications provide the ability to sequentially click through the search results to help identify the hit your are looking for.
For example, if I want to find a note that included the word Apple in it, but perhaps I use the word Apple frequently - including multiple times within the same note, it can be very difficult to find the Apple I am looking for (perhaps I want to find the 3rd instance of the word apple within a large note because that's where I mentioned someone's name I am trying to recall).
Attached is a simple example of how a Google Doc/Sheet serves up search results, with a simple up/down button that allows you to scroll through each hit sequentially.
My feature request is for Evernote to add this sequential searching capability upon search hits.
