How to turn on feature on Mac

I have seen that there is a feature "Automatically select child tags" to cause searches to return notes tagged with a subtag of the tag mentioned in the search.  However the instructions I saw to turn on this feature don't apply to the Mac.  Does this feature exist, and how can I enable it on the Mac?

The child tag feature is currently only available on the Windows platform.
