Question about publicly shared notes

Recommended Posts

Hi, I would like to ask a question about publicly shared notes. If I share a note publicly and allow others to save copies, will I be able to see who saved it?

Not sure how others are saving copies but I'm sure there's no link back to the original.

Its even worse when you're sharing via public URL.  You have no feedback on who is viewing the URL.

Hi.  You may have noticed that Evernote URLs are a tad complicated...  if you'd like to make life easier for your sharees,  you could use a web shortening service like Bitly to shorten your links.  Check the URL of this thread forinstance and then try this option - http://bit.ly/2fSmQak

Good news: that sort of web service also allows you to know how many folks click your shortened link.  Bad news - some look at 'hidden' links like that suspiciously as potential malware sites.
