App stuck at "downloading content"

I make local backups of my content every month, but from last month I experience a bug: dialog-box with "Downloading Content" information  - even after few hours it doesn't work. 
Is there any workaround? MacOS 10.12/ Ev 6.9.2 (AS). 
I use export all notebooks function.

Works for me; I run full backups every  week

5GB; takes about 30 minutes

You might try the export with smaller samples.  Maybe isolate the issue to a specific Notebook or note

My solution for device issues is

  1. Reboot your device; it often solves  problems
  2. Delete and reinstall the app
  3. Delete the database and let it be rebuilt from the servers.  Warning; The rebuild does not include local  notebooks  or unsynced  nots
