  1. The zoom feature in Evernote is awesome! However, I find I'm constantly zooming. Would love to have a default zoom, or some way to make the font size consistent. One idea is to let the user decide how large they want the font to appear on their particular device. Then evernote measures a character or word in the note and zooms in to match the user preference. Or even just set a default zoom so that all notes are automatically zoomed in x2 or whatever the user has set.
  2. After upgrading to 6.11.2.7027 there is no annotate icon appers while hover over image in the note. I beleive this occres because of zoom image feature which is introduced in 6.11.2.7027.Out team is heavy annotation users. Is there any way to disable zoom feature and bring back annotate icon which shold appear on hover mouce over the image?

    Visual Accessibility

I realize that, for those of us with non-retina monitors and degraded visual acuity, the Apple system fonts are going to pose a consistent problem. One of the ways to help with this is to use the zoom function, but as a writer and editor I often shift between notes, requiring not only a click on the new note, but multiple clicks on the zoom combo to make it visible, doing what needs to be done and then returning to the original note which now needs to be zoomed again. If this were just an occasional operation, it wouldn't be so irritating, but continuously having to bracket a simple task with 3 zoom clicks on either side gets tedious. It would be very nice if there were a way to set a global zoom level that would not involve changing the type size. What I have in mind is an item in preferences that could be set for the display without affecting the print output.

    Zoom in and Out

Hi gang, I am new here but not to Evernote. I absolutely love it. Anyhow, I am having a bit of an issue and am hoping someone can help me with it. I opened a note that had some really small text in a pdf that I was wanting to read. As it was so small I hit the ctrl key and the roller on my mouse to see if I could get it large to read. Well now all my text in all my notes is really big and zoomed in. I have tried ctrl and the mouse wheel again, I have checked the font size and it is a normal size (10 or 12). It is fine on my mobile device. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this. Thanks in Advance for any help.
  5. Hello everyone, I've been using Evernote for some time, and I decided to buy Premium, as I saw the ad explaining how great the Evernote is for students, making pictures of pages, whiteboards etc. Yet it's not possible to use it conveniently to go through many images in one note (e.g. notes from 1 lecture). After double clicking on the image and seeing it in the EN's image gallery, it's only possible to zoom in/out once. Why is it not possible to zoom in/out slowly with Scroll on mouse or CTRL+,CTRL-? This makes it completely unusable for me for study purposes. I thought that maybe clicking Open With and selecting another program would work, but it doesn't. Windows Image Viewer doesn't allow switching through different files, and Picassa goes through all images in Attachments (which in my case contain many versions with .backup extension and images from different notes) I would like to point out that this comes as a great surprise for me, as the software has features like searching through an image, but doesn't allow conveniently going through lecture notes? Thank you for your help.
  6. Love Evernote, long-time premium user... I've just upgraded to a new iPhone 8+ and discovered that the Evernote camera interface doesn't support the telephoto lens. I frequently use Evernote for note taking at conferences and presentations, and it's great to be able to snap a photo of a slide as part of my notes. I'm frequently seated far enough from the screen that the telephoto (2x) lens would be the best choice for a clear image, but Evernote's camera interface is one of the very few that does not give the ability to use the second camera. The iPhone 8+, X and many Android phones now have a second telephoto lens, would love to see Evernote add a simple toggle to the interface to use it.

    Zoom torture

Dear Evernote Team, I am using Evernote to take notes on iPad Pro with Apple Pencil. The zooming feature in sketch has become a very serious problem for me. As I approach to the bottom of the page, it uncontrollably and unintentionally zooms ins/outs which drives me nuts and makes the note taking experience unbearable. Here are two ways to solve this problem: 1) Add a button to lock the zoom (which I think it is very easy to implement code-wise) 2) Change the zoom gesture from two fingers to something like 3 fingers or 4 fingers. I think this will solve the problem of palm effect. Please do not try to solve this problem by some sort of "smart detection of palm position" etc. People change palm positions all the time during a real note taking session. Could you please be kind to tell me if you have any intention to solve this problem in the upcoming release (or patch/update). Or is it going to be as it is in the future releases? Thank you A very curious mind.
  8. This is not exactly an idea but kind of missing feature. Steps to reproduce. 1. Create a table with 2 columns in a note. 2. Zoom the note (say around 2X) 3. Try adjusting the column size of either column. I am not able to adjust the size. I am using latest evernote version on Mac.
  9. I created a Notebook and shared it. One of the Notes I created was edited by someone I shared it with, and now the default zoom is at two steps up from the smallest zoom. I reset the zoom manually to the smallest, then edited some text hoping that this would save the zoom setting. It does not. Every time I re-open that affected Note, the zoom changes to two steps up from the smallest zoom setting. Every other Note in the Notebook is at the smallest zoom setting. How did this happen, and is there anything I can do to change the default zoom of a single Note?

  11. I've just installed Evernote desktop on my new windows 8 laptop, a 13 inch lenovo yoga 2 pro. Almost everything is miniscule, and I can't find any zoom function or way to change the text size (other than editing the notes to alter the font size, which isn't practical). A brief google suggests there is no such feature?! Grateful if anyone has any suggestions, but I'm really disappointed right now because I've been using Evernote for several years and this problem is making it absolutely totally unusable on my new laptop. I've tried the Evernote touch app for windows 8, which has limitations that I'm sure I don't need to enumerate here and additionally seems very unstable. I'm temporarily resorting to using the website to access my note collection, but that doesn't seem sustainable in the long term.

  13. It's awfully hard to work across big and small monitors when there is no way to zoom on the text, and changing font will result in font tweaking all the time when switching resolutions etc.

    Zoom notes/text size

A simple question, but on searching the help, I could find nothing really useful. I want to be able to change to zoom size of a note, normally this is done in Window through CTRL+Scroll wheel, but this too don't work. Any ideas? Cheers Chris
  15. Hey guys I really LOVE evernote. But I can't understand the lack of two really basic functions 1) Zoom Okay you can resize the text with CTRL-+/- but thats NOT a zoom. It is really annoying if you often print you notes. I usually have to print every not two times since I scaled the font-size to 15pt (to have more reading comfort (Macbook Retina)) but if I print the stuff I mostly forget to scale it down again to 11 or 12pt. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add this feature and replace the XTR-+/- shortcut with a real zoom. This is really standard in every normal Programm. 2) Click to edit Another annoying issue on the mobile Version (Android): Why is there a difference between View-Mode and edit mode? My former notes app was quite crappy but if I clicked somewhere in the note I could directly edit it. The cursor was at the point where I clicked. In Evernote I have to clik "menu button", click edit button and then (I really HATE this) it goes back to the beginning of the note. And I have notes with a lot of pages (I use note for almost everything). This is completley non-intuitive thanks & regards, Dave PS: Why do I have to choose a plattform here? I guess the mentioned problems are cross plattform...

    Zoom (Windows desktop)

Hi. Some of my notes have a small font when they were created (some of them from a web capture). How can I visualize them in a comfortable way without changing the font size. I think this development is essential since a note can have different display sizes depending on the device they are shown. Thank you.
  18. I really need the ability to zoom the text size in a note. Particularly on the Mac, a standard 12 pt font is too hard on the eyes to read, and the only way to correct it currently in Evernote is to increase the size of the font in the note. Many in the Forum have been asking for a zoom feature for years-- does Evernote have any plans to implement this?
  19. Hey guys, there is still no way to zoom into images or documents in the photo taking process. Could you pls do my day and fix this? should be mandatory. finding myself always unsure whether the photos are appropriately shot. Thanks for getting your hands on this. You are the best! Hannes

    Penultumate

Hi I have one bug, I would like to report: when I am writting with jot, I am using a zoomed window at the bottom of page. I don't use a moving one (play button in left lower corrner), but I want to move the blue rectangel by myself...and it is not possible...in other words, I have to 'click" on the rectangle several times, before it starts to move with my finger... It is very annoying and I cannot use the app... I am using Jot Script, iPad 3 mini and 6.1.1 version of Penult. Is there any help?
  21. The text in a note on the Mac client appears too small on my Macbook Air 2013 screen. I need to be able to zoom in rather than adjust font size (should I ever wish to print or copy/paste to another application). This was a deal breaker. I was ready to plunge into premium, but this lack of flexibility makes the notes virtually useless too me and I'm not paying for a product with these kinds of accessibility limitations. I tried to submit a ticket or contact Evernote directly to see what I'm missing, but only premium users can contact Evernote directly.
  22. One of my favorite features of Evernote is being able to clip web articles to read later on my own time. This has really helped my productivity. I use one tag for unread articles, then delete ones I want to keep or change the tag for permanent archiving. It's a dream come true. I recently purchased a Windows Surface Pro 3, and have run into a problem with the 60 articles in my current "Unread Articles" tag: The font is so small the article is unreadable. The clipped font comes in at 7 point, which is already small. But the Surface Pro resolution is so high that many Windows Desktop apps become unusable (e.g., the buttons are so small they cannot be touched). I tried reducing the screen resolution 50%, but when I opened Evernote, it was unchanged. (Attempting to...) Using the mouse scroll wheel to enlarge like I do in Word or Publisher also had no effect. I did try the Evernote Touch app, which made the font larger, but I don't want to use the App... for the primary reason I do not want two copies of every note on my Surface. The Windows Desktop version is much more robust and I would prefer to work only in one environment. Am I missing a way to (a) enlarge the entire Evernote interface or at least ( enlarge the font to a readable size?
  23. Hello, is there a zoom function in presentation mode? I want to show a note with attached pdf files. There are different technical drawings inside the pdf. When I start the presentation mode all drawings are to big. I can see the left half or third only.

    windows 8 Feature Request: Zoom

I just got a Dell Venue 11 Pro (Windows 8.1) for work and was excited to use it with EverNote. However, I've found that the app is nearly impossible to use due to the inability to zoom. I'm forced to change the text size on every note i want to view/edit, which is really cumbersome and irritating, because it throws off the formatting on all my other devices. Its only logical that the Evernote Touch appp for Windows 8.1 have a zoom feature. Please add this!

ios Drift & Zoom User Feedback

Drift and zoom have revolutionised the extent to which I use Penultimate. I take a lot of notes in client meetings that are the basis for later technical writing. After discovering Drift and Zoom I have ditched the paper notebook entirely, and all seems to be well after the first 3 months. A very minor bit of user feedback: the pinch to zoom is touchy to get quickly, and often results in a stroke on the page rather than successful entry into the zoom/drift mode. It would be good to have a setting that gave a few more gesture options to enter this mode - I'd really like a double tap.having to exit zoom/drift to go to next page is a pain. I'd like a button (bottom right - well away from the return button) that you can touch that takes you to the next page, and keeps you in zoom/drift mode.extending that concept, it would be good to be able to lock the zoom/drift mode on for a given note (this would allow you to navigate to another app, and back, without having to re-pinch to get back to writing).Really enjoying the Evernote/Penultimate combination and looking forward to these and more refinements.
