  1. Currently, YouTube clippings seem to come out a bit mangled - it would also be useful to be able to choose how many comments are saved (or even to download all comments). As for Twitter, it is nigh impossible to save a tweet (except by screenshotting) - would be highly appreciated if this feature were added (with support for threads).
  2. How do I go about clipping a youtube video with the latest iOS Evernote app? It does not embed at all like the desktop clipper, there is no video information, no thumbnail, not even a link to the video!! I’m attaching a screenshot of what I get vs. what the desktop clipper does. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!
  3. Whenever I go to YouTube to play videos, Evernote places multiple buttons to remember the video right on the video. It annoys me because it blocks a bit of the video itself. It goes away if I play the video in full screen. I was wondering if there's a way to get rid of this. I will put a screenshot with the message to show what I mean.
  4. I frequently browse my subscriptions, add to my Watch Later, and finally watch my saved list. If I want to remember something, I clip to Evernote. The new YouTube interface has been up for a while now—couple of weeks—and I hate it as much as the next user. This morning was the first time since the change that I tried to web clip. It's broken. Five weeks ago, I saved my most recent working YouTube clip. When you click the link, you should see the format including title, URL, publisher, image, description, etc. This morning, the option to save a YouTube clip is gone. I decided that best option was to save a broken bookmark clip. I realized that the title and links are correct; however, the description is from another video in my list, and the image is from an altogether different video in my list. That's not going to work. Is this happening to you, too? What's the best workaround for the interim? When will this be fixed?
  5. Video is more important than ever. Many articles include embedded videos. However, the WebClipper ignores all video, even information about the video. It's just a blank space where the video should be. I'm not asking to include (download) the entire video, but the WebClipper should be smart enough to either include a link to the embedded video, or embed the video directly. I've tested it with InstaPaper and it worked like a charm. If a free service like InstaPaper can do it, why not a paid service like Evernote? In conclusion: include (link to) embedded videos using WebClipper.
  6. Previously, clipping YouTube videos resulted in saving the note in rich text; now, it does not. Using either Safari or Google Chrome on macOS yields the same results. I'm having difficulty in figuring out why the formatting isn't transferred over… Is anyone else experiencing this issue as well? Does anyone have a solution? This is how the YouTube video appears in the Google Chrome Web Clipper (with rich text formatting): And here's the clipped note in the app (with plain text formatting):
  7. I have created a support ticket for the same (#1934796). It appears that Evernote would have to update Clipper to allow Youtube-specific clipping on the new site as Youtube recently underwent a design makeover. Youtube-specific clipping appears on restoring to Youtube classic. Please update Clipper ASAP.
  8. Hi , I found an issue related to saving web page with embedded YouTube video. Please check my shared note - https://www.evernote.com/shard/s237/sh/75576425-3773-406c-80c3-7f12398e6130/2bbafb89a7933fcf4d306c7a16a1fe59 Source - http://habrahabr.ru/post/145848 I can't play video in windows/online Evernote or, at least, can't go to YouTube source page by clicking on this video in Evernote Evernote for windows & Evernote Web Clipper - latest versions Best Regards, Alex Premium customer :-)
  9. In the Chrome Evernote extension, I'm given the option to saved a Youtube video when on a Youtube page. It results in an image such as this: If I click it, it takes me to the Youtube video like any other link. I can't edit or copy it. The Firefox extension does not give me this option. How can I manually add a picture link such as this to a note?
  10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dycD60u-dys&ab_channel=Evernote This is cryptic. What is it trying to convey? What exactly is "smarter"? It is usually not a good sign when watching a marketing video once does not make sense. Surely the benefit could have been conveyed in a sentence or two.

  12. Anyone else having any problems with the Web Clipper working properly with YouTube? 1) I don't have the option of saving YouTube video on the Web Clipper anymore. 2) When I try to clip the video with Evernote it goes crazy and overlays text on top of everything else. (see screenshot)
  13. Today, I read that OneNote now will support embedded video links to several video services, most notably, YouTube. http://www.pcworld.com/article/3062990/apps/onenote-gets-easy-video-embedding-and-many-more-new-features.html I know this has been requested countless times. Can we please get this functionality in Evernote?

Hi, I'm constantly watching YouTube videos and transcribing (manually or typing) what is said, but it takes me a lot of time and energy. Than I've wondered: wouldn't it be nice if Evernote had a transcript (checkbox) feature when clipping from YouTube videos? For me it would be awesome, a productivity boost! And I believe that for many other people too: so that we could highlight and find the important information of the video through the search feature. YouTube already have a transcription feature (when it have subtitles) that could be extracted to evernote. And it would be nice to keep some "time tags" (with hyperlinks) to go to the specific part of the video that contains the written information. TED Talks have a interesting transcription system, too; and it would be nice if it had the same features (preset) that Evernote Clipper offers on YouTube. That's it. Thanks.

  18. Hi there I'm wanting to start to use presentation mode for my presentations - however I can't get YouTube to work in this mode. It's perfectly happy when I click the link from a normal Evernote note - however once I turn the same note into presentation mode, the YouTube site says 'blocked plugin' - how do I sort this? Cheers K
  19. Anyone else not able to use the their Web Clipper in Google Chrome in YouTube? The Clip Bar is also constantly appearing in different pieces on my YouTube pages without even clicking it! It's a huge mess. I had to remove the extension to make it go away.
  20. Pocket has the ability to take a frame of a YouTube video when "clipping" to use as a thumbnail for the entry with very nice formatting. I would like to be able to do this with EN as well.
  21. I'm really enjoying Evernote and look forward to learning more about it. I'm already sharing YouTube videos another resources with my students. Here is the main reason I wanted to use it: I use playing tests as an assessment tool for my students. We do some in class, but have a weekly assignment that they complete at home. Last year they emailed the songs to me which worked pretty well. With Evernote, I'm having each student share their notebook with me and they record their test right into a note that I can hear. No more formatting issues with Apple vs Android and no more "lost" emails. My question: Is there a way to organize the shared folders list from my end? Right now it is just a big long list of their usernames. Anyway to make it easier to navigate? Thanks! Michael
