  1. When you enable the tabbed view inside Evernote, it would be more useful for the tabs to display the name of the specific 'note' you're working on, rather than the name of the Notebook. This is especially useful where you're working on multiple notes within the same notebook (that you've split across various tabs). As in the example below, you can see that both tabs display "All Notes" and "Diary" however its the same case if I was working on two different notes in say the same notebook "Diary" This can get a bit confusing, because if they both display the same name, you have to then click on each of the tabs to find out which one it was that you were working on. My recommendation is to essentially display the name of the Note, or you can show the path of the note i.e. Diary > 12102017 just to make this feature that bit more useful (just like how we currently have it when you open a note in a new window). The tabbed view becomes less useful if you have a number of notebooks and notes inside them that you might be working on at the same time and therefore harder to manage. I've also attached a screenshot of what the "open in a new window" looks like.
  2. Hi, I love Evernote and use it daily but it seems like with the latest upgrade to v3.1.1 the minimum width of the window has increased significantly. I suspect it has to do with the new card view but I'm strictly a list view user (with titles only!) and for my purpose the wideness comes as ungainly and unnecessary — I find a lot of white-space to the right of my notes now. It's true, it's hardly a critical issue but would love to be able to shrink it down more to size. Thank you, k
  3. Working with a specific note in its own window and Evernote main window minimized to dock. When clicking on the dock icon to bring the note back to the front, Evernote main window is also restored, obscuring the note being used. It then has to be re-minimized. This is inconsistent with behavior of other applications on Mac when multiple windows are open.
  4. Starting today, even though there hasn't been any Evernote update that I'm aware of since the first week of January, when I open the application (MacOS-HighSierra), I am greeted with a partially rendered "upgrade" window that I cannot exit out of. The window is modal so I cannot access anything in the application...you can see the window in the attachment. If I click on the "lightening bolt" icon in the green bar, it takes me to the "upgrade version selection" page, which we are all too familiar with, but no matter what I click, I can exit out of this window either. It seems like the only option is for me to upgrade my Evernote version, which I do not want to do. Also, since both windows are missing text, I cannot actually tell what input is required. Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas...this makes the desktop version of the app totally useless -Chris
  5. PLEASE add the option to prevent the redundant popup window that appears after we have clipped an email. I posted a jpg showing the three steps that must currently be taken to clip an email - it should be shorter/easier and more customizable. For me, the purpose of the email clipper is to clip/save an email into a certain folder for quick and easy action/follow up/review at a later date. At present, there are three steps (which isn't exactly quick or streamlined): Clip the "save to Evernote" button in the top toolbar (I'm using Outlook 2016/Office 365 on Windows 7 Pro for reference). - See Image/Step #1 in gif. Select/approve the notebook to save the clip to, with the option to add tags or remarks. - See image/Step #2 in gif. (THIS IS WHERE THE PROCESS SHOULD END.) Then we get a third/unwanted step when yet another window pops up. To close it, we have to pause our process/flow to close the window. Sounds nit picky, and it is, but I want the option to disable or skip this step altogether. - See image/Step #3 in gif. Please see the attached gif if my request is not clear. Fellow users - PLEASE take a second to VOTE on this. The more votes it gets, the more likely they are to add this feature. Thanks!
  6. For a 1-sentence note, I open a new note and then type in the lower pane. For all other notes, I prefer to open a new window whose width is set at a "comfortable" line length. In that case, I need to click "New Note", and then double-click the title in order to open that note in a new window. This current "Topic Details" window is a good example of how difficult it is to read long lines of text :-) I would like to see a user-configurable option to open all new notes either (a) as in the current default, or (b) directly in a new window.
  7. Hello, in evernote (online) there appears a dark pop-up window (about "my notebook" ... which does not disappear. How to remove this message window??? And: What is an "abbreviation" (German: "Abkürzung") and what do I do with it??? See screenshot. Thanks. Klaus Luecke
  8. Hello! I have the web beta evernote now, and I'd like to know how we can open multiple notes in separate windows. It's very useful for me at work. We could do it in the version before, so I'm curious to know if this is still available and also where it is, I haven't found it. Sorry if this question has already been asked; but didn't found anything on the web for this. I use mac AND pc. Thank you in advance PS - sorry for my english !
  9. I used firefox to do clip page and saved locally. Problem is that locally the window to display the saved web page is only in half size. When i scroll the mouse the page is still rolling in this half size window. While if i put mouse over that half window for some seconds, it can suddenly enlarge to the whole size... Only web clipped page has this problem, any other format like word, ppt, txt page are ok. Any settings for this ?
