Hi everyone, I have a big problem with how Evernote handles PDF files in MacOS, which just show the entirety of pdf as part of the note while in windows version each pdf file has its own box and scroller make it easy to have notes and couple of pdf in one note. In mac version to see the notes after one pdf, I have to scroll down the pdf first which is a pain. Now imagine having a couple of pdf in one note. I know we can make the pdf to show as an attachment but that is not what I am after, I want to see the content of the pdf (first page), but I want my pdf to have its own box and scroller. Does everybody have the same issue on mc?
Note: This is not a complaint, it's an observation. I've sent notes through the support email, and haven't seen any changes. So I thought I'd post publicly to see if there were at least a few others who feel the same as I do about Evernote's hodge-podge text editing features. As a cross-platform application, I would hope that Evernote would at least syncronize the user interface between devices and operating systems. I've used all versions, but spend most of my time in iOS (iPhone AND iPad), Web, and Mac. I would say my primary use case is as a work log, brain dump, idea catcher, and anything else that my brain can't deal with right at the moment. So text formatting is NOT something I really want to spend my time fixing. To cut to the chase: Evernote should offer standard outlining structures, so that notes can be stored as structured HTML rather than font size changes. Four levels of headings, paragraph text, larger, smaller, bold, underline, italic, strikethrough, and colours. That would be nice. Oh, other features would be great too, but that's just icing. The iPhone has it sort of right. You can set up Sections, Subsections, and Paragraph text. That works for me. But the Web version. Ick. I start a note and it uses a "standard" font size which is perfect. If I paste stuff from other applications into my note, the font sizes are all out of whack. So I select the text and set it to font size 10pt. Too small. Well, then, font size 12pt. Too large. Why isn't there a "standard font size" selection? I've got more to say, but I'd rather this be a discussion than a monologue. Help!
Hi Folks, I am using Evernote Free app of 5.6.4 version in my mobile as well as PC. I am facing a problem between my mobile and PC versions. Below is the description. I will make notes of whatever I have read at home in PC evernote (say 10 points/Lines as text). When I want to update this notes at my convenience(say when outside and not accessible to PC). I will do it from mobile (where data in my mobile is not in sync with current data from server as I have not sync'd it in past 2 days- say I have only 8 points of earlier said text in mobile), will add few additional points and I will do it offline. In this case I am updating my notes with additional content and when I sync it with server, the earlier data(10 points) is getting overrriden with the data of 8 points along with additional content which is being added offline. (here I am losing my old 2 points) Is there any way to identify the conflicts between server and mobile versions so that it could ask for a merger of both data (or) overwrite the server version before updating if there are any conflicts? I dont know if it could be solved or this is the behaviour. Please let me know, If any body could assist me. Thanks Adams
