  1. Hello Evernote! How do I get Gotham on my desktop app? I have it on the web app, but I can't see it on the desktop version...would love to see it across both platforms. Just a thought.
  2. On the WebApp/Browser version of Evernote, I can use a single backtick: ` before and after a snippet to turn it into a code snippet, just like Markdown/Zendesk, etc. Works great, even inside a bulleted list. I can also select a block of text, and hit the Code Block button, or use three backticks: ``` before/after the text block, and turn it into a code block, again even if it's inside a bulleted list. I can't do any of this in the Windows version of Evernote, which is extremely odd to me that the web client is more fully featured and easier to use?! In the Desktop client, backticks seems to do nothing - they don't trigger any formatting. I can select a block of text, but I can't turn it into a code block, unless it's NOT in a bulleted list?! Worst of all, code snippets seem to be ignored in the Windows version - even if they look/work ok in the WebApp interface! Things are slightly better in the Android app, since at least it does show code snippets I've previously created. Thus I've uninstalled the desktop version as I can't find any utility in it over the browser version and it's missing these critical features I need. Which begs the question - why is the far more complicated desktop version of the app, failing to do these simple formatting requests? Furthermore why is the interface and featureset between all versions of evernote, so different from eachother? Why isn't there just one standard interface and feature set on all platforms!? So confusing to me.
  3. So I started using Evernote much more this year than in previous years. I'm a writer and it's easy to organize my thoughts with my notebooks, etc. My problem is this: On my tablet and on my phone, I have no issues accessing my notebooks or my tags. On the web app, I see the icon for my tags but can't click on it and I see no way to look at all of my notebooks. This is frustrating because I frequently jump from notebook to notebook and I can't seem to do this on the do this on the website (or web app, I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking at).
  4. Hello all, Don't have the time for a fishing expedition through the forum so hoping someone can help me quickly. I reluctantly switched to Evernote from Springpad due to their impending shutdown and I'm working on getting everything set up across my devices. Everything looks on the surface like it imported properly-I have the right number of notes and my notebooks and tags look present and accounted for. I paid for a premium account, downloaded the app onto my Nexus 7 tablet and Nexus 4 phone, downloaded the Windows app onto my laptop and took a test-drive on the (Chrome) web version to get to know everything. For my purposes, being able to quickly get to the source website for web clips is critical and the majority of my notes are bookmarks/links. I see that in the web app the link is at the top of the note. No problem. I figured out that in the Android app for my phone and tablet there is a 'go to source' option in the share menu. Great! Now--how in the heck do I do that with the downloaded Windows app? All I see when I look at what is supposed to be a link is a picture from the site, and NO link to follow. This is 100% useless to me. In many cases, the name of the site isn't even present so I can't even use it as a starting point to Google and re-find what I was supposed to have saved for quick access. Please advise!
  5. Hi, I made and published this Chrome Extension that clips PDFs from the browser to your Evernote account. This is a beta version so please report any errors. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/clip-pdf-to-evernote/eimkfmeckpmboaokmmgablhanbmpnmjf
  6. Is anyone else finding they are having CONSTANT formatting issues with Evernote? For ALL versions? Things such as: List formatting, if I click to start a list (numbered or otherwise) it instead starts the list several lines above (Even if I have several hard returns or double spaced returns between the lines) Weird/abrupt formatting changes. Many times if I have a list that isn't functioning properly I'll try backspacing to the previous line and then "returning" to make it a separate line to fix the list, and all of a sudden my text will be Several sizes larger and bold Often when you select a different size or formatting for a peice of text (bold, underlined, etc.) it simply won't change. This happens especially often on the iOS versions when you try to select "Heading" or other Theme Formats [*]Copying paste from anywhere else and pasting it into evernote causes all of these problems to be exponentially worse. Not to be sarcastic, but if the Evernote text formatting code worked even half as good as the text box in this forum post I'd be happy. Anyone else having these issues?
