  1. I have several recordings of lectures and meeting that I would like to either remove the useless banter, or a question period, or a late start to a meeting. Is there any way at present to edit or crop an Evernote audio note?
  2. Hi, I'm on a Nexus 4 (not sure if this matters) and I don't see the option anywhere to create a voice note. Creating voice notes for me comes up most often when I am away from my computer and only have my mobile, since I don't have access to my normal keyboard... Am I missing something? I looked at the Upgrade screen curious to know if this was now a paid feature, but I didn't find it there. Thanks! I attached a screen capture of the options I see when creating a new note (blocked out my note content).
  3. Hi, I love the Today widget. However, I think it lacks one of the most used options —at least in my case—, i.e. a new voice memo option. I'd definitely want to see a voice memo icon next to document, photos and the rest!
  4. I have two mobile clients. Ipod Touch and an Android smartphone. Voice notes on Android are *.amr files, which are not supported in the IOS Evernote client. So I cannot play my notes taken with my Android phone on the IOS device. That is not quite fantastic. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
  5. Even though I have set up the default player for this format O file on my android phone inside of evernote the software tries to divert me too visual spreadsheet applications. Why can't I use the default software in my phone to open this file so I can hear it while I'm at the evernote file?
  6. It would be wonderful if voice notes were searchable, and an approximated transcript attempt was added to each voice note. I don't know if Android limitations would allow the following shortcut to this goal: record the audio AND let the Android device do its speech-to-text magic for audio notes, in a single shot for one audio stream.
  7. While keeping stats today at a boys lacrosse game I thought that there must be a better way to accomplish the task while being able to watch the game. The problem: to keep stats requires you to look down at either a piece of paper or the iPad to annotate what just happened. (example: #20 shot on goal, #15 assist, etc). This requires at least two people - one to keep watching the game an providing a running commentary of what is happening and one to do the logging. Or, if we're short a person we record everything using a voice app an then someone later has to listen to the entire recording to log the stats. I am trying to come up with a way to be able to use a voice recorder and speech-to-text to log the data into a table/spreadsheet. If I can do that I think I can work out an import mechanism(or macro) to get the stats into a usable form. Does anyone in the Evernote community have suggestions for how to accomplish this task? Anything to point me in the right direction would be helpful.
  8. Dragon Naturally Speaking salesman couldn't tell me how well Evernote plays with Dragon in terms of EN commands like "new note," "merge notes," "apply tag," etc. Does anyone know? Thanks, lena
  9. What have they done to the editor in Ver 4.3? Where is the done button? why has it moved? A quick voice note use to be two clicks with the widget. Now its three clicks with a long reach all the way to the top left of the screen to the stupid tick icon. Using my thumb when one handed up a ladder makes me look spastic and nearly drop my Galxey S2. Please put the done or tick button back on the right or bottom of the screen thanks!!!!
  10. Hi all, Since the EN app on my iPhone is too slow to instantly record an idea or something to remember (voice memo), I'm looking for a third party app that does the trick. Just record a voice memo and sync it to EN. I've downloaded RecEver. It works, but I was wondering if there might be a better app? Thanks in advance!
  11. I don't get it, I recorded a couple of voice notes on my android (gingerbread), but I can't get it to play on my phone. What gives? How come the device that recorded the file cannot play the file? I tried the built in media player, some other media player I downloaded and even winamp and it just wont play. My phone keeps returning "Audio Playback Error" The file plays fine on my laptop though. But I'd want to review what I've said on my phone. I hope someone can help out or direct me to a fix.
  12. I would love the option to re-map a button on my phone that would allow me to simply hold it down to capture my voice data. For instance, as long as the app is running on my phone, I could just hold down the volume button and speak to crate a new voice note. No need to "wake up"the phone and tap the voice note button on the screen. I work in law enforcement and make dozens of voice notes every day. I have to pull over and park the car before I can create a note. This is obviously a problem if I'm following a car or responding to a call (the job takes presidence so I miss many of the voice notes I would like to make got my end of shift paperwork). If I could simply hold down my volume key and speak, I wouldn't need to stop each time. Thank you, Jbpowers
