  1. Hello! I recently got a Sky Wifi Smartpen and have been using the LiveScribe Helper to upload my documents to EN. However, I can't name any of the documents. Its very confusing because I have audio from multipule classes and several notebooks on the go. Is there any way I can reorganize my files so that I can rename them for classes? Thanks for your help in advance!
  2. When uploading images to notes from my samsung s7, sometimes the colors become washed out. I'm not sure what the deal is. How do I get this fixed? Here is the original: Here is what shows up in evernote: \
  3. Hi, can you please remove the upload limit within a note? Or please increase it up 500 MB. It´s bothering to split notes or to use the Google Drive function which doesn't even let you listen or watch files in a note.
  4. Problem: I uploaded/synced less than 2 Mb of files this morning, but my account shows that I used 23 Mb of my upload allocation by doing so. Basic configuration: EN Basic, using EN on Mac (EN 6.8 on MacOS 10.9.5) and iPad (EN current for iOS 8.3), notes added almost exclusively via the EN web clipper. Explanation: In both Jan'17 and Feb'17, I hit my upload limit faster than I've experienced in the past. In Feb, I reached my limit mid-month, in spite of trying to upload pages that were mostly text (very few graphics). So, for the 2nd half of Feb, I created 10 notes on my iPad without attempting to sync (white arrow in small green triangle in upper right hand corner of note summary remained during 2nd half of Feb). My account reset a couple of days ago on Mar 1st. Today, Mar 4, I synced the 10 files: one was 1.8 Mb in size, the remaining 9 totaled 71 Kb (size checked by using the info button for each note). Yet, my account info shows that I have only 37 Mb of upload left. The 2 Mb of files took 23 Mb of my upload allowance (a 100% inflation in size!! How can this be corrected?

  6. I signed up for premium a week ago, and just now I checked my account. 98% of my 10gbs has been used. I don't believe I used that much that quickly. Not even sure that that is possible. Is everything ok? Any thoughts?

    Photo upload flashlight

When I upload photos to a note the camera light comes on, even though I'm not taking a new photo. It's actually pretty funny.
  8. Hello forum, can any of you help with my query below in red? I have included a message from Evernote Help and Learning too spencer0i (my query) May 26, 19:08 I have a spreadsheet with multiple rows (150+). I need to create a note in Evernote for each row in my spreadsheet (150+ notes) but I don't want to do this manually as it will take ages. Is there a way to automatically create these notes from the rows in my spreadsheet? (This is an urgent issue that I need to resolve) Amanda H. (Evernote Help and Learning) May 27, 11:47 Hi there, Thanks for contacting Evernote support! At this time there is not a native way to create Evernote notes automatically from an Excel spreadsheet, the only way to do this is by manually copying and pasting the content. Some of our other Windows Evernote users may have created workarounds, or you can ask other users if they've found workarounds for accomplishing this on our Evernote User Forum. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions, and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Regards, Amanda H.
  9. I want the ability to export (and import) notes to cloud servixes such as Google Drive and Dropbox. This would help me because my teachers don't like Work Chat and I don't know why. They want me to upload my notes and homework to google drive. I think this feature would be helpful for everyone. There should also be auto upload so evernote could automaticaaly upload my notes.
  10. Hi, I am new to Evernote. Question: Are the drag-and-dropped files effectively uploaded into Evernote? Let's say I have any file in my Windows desktop or file(s) attached to a received email in Outlook 2013 (Windows 10, standalone) inbox. When I drag and drop the file into an Evernote Notebook or Note, the file is uploaded into Evernote's servers? Or the file is not uploaded but only a link is created into Evernote, linking to the file in the desktop or email attachment? Any advice is welcome!
  11. hello, I've just subscribed my membership to Evernote Plus and I'm not able to upload a single file of 47 gb. As I've read that could be possible . Can't anybody know the reason why and how to do ? thank you in advance. P. Phanteen
  12. Hi, when i want to uplad a selection of photos from the photolibrary of my iphone, evernote photo browser does not show all the images of my photo library which makes it impossible to upload those few pictures which are of interest for my note. This for the use I make for evernote is critical. Can you please solve? Thanks
  13. My monthly upload limit is not resetting. I waited until it started a new motnhly cycle, but it remains full. I have restarted my computer and cleared the deleted folder. Any advice please? Thanks
  14. Hi, Just a post to explain my issue, and the solution found On my tablet, a galaxy Tab S using Samsung layer over Lollipop 5.0.2, I systematically have a synchronisation issue when uploading data over Wifi. After several tries, I found that this issue was due to AdBlock Plus Androïd application, forcing all network communication to be done through its proxy (on localhost and port 2020 as usual). When looking at Evernote logs, I found the following errors: 2015-04-11 18:48:06,234 ERROR [ak] - retryRequest()::executionCount1:: exception=javax.net.ssl.SSLProtocolException: Read error: ssl=0xaf59c200: Failure in SSL library, usually a protocol errorjavax.net.ssl.SSLProtocolException: Read error: ssl=0xaf59c200: Failure in SSL library, usually a protocol errorcom.android.org.conscrypt.NativeCrypto.SSL_read(Native Method)com.android.org.conscrypt.OpenSSLSocketImpl$SSLInputStream.read(OpenSSLSocketImpl.java:728)org.apache.http.impl.io.AbstractSessionInputBuffer.fillBuffer(AbstractSessionInputBuffer.java:103)org.apache.http.impl.io.AbstractSessionInputBuffer.readLine(AbstractSessionInputBuffer.java:191)org.apache.http.impl.conn.DefaultResponseParser.parseHead(DefaultResponseParser.java:82)org.apache.http.impl.io.AbstractMessageParser.parse(AbstractMessageParser.java:174)org.apache.http.impl.AbstractHttpClientConnection.receiveResponseHeader(AbstractHttpClientConnection.java:180)org.apache.http.impl.conn.DefaultClientConnection.receiveResponseHeader(DefaultClientConnection.java:235)org.apache.http.impl.conn.AbstractClientConnAdapter.receiveResponseHeader(AbstractClientConnAdapter.java:259)org.apache.http.protocol.HttpRequestExecutor.doReceiveResponse(HttpRequestExecutor.java:279)org.apache.http.protocol.HttpRequestExecutor.execute(HttpRequestExecutor.java:121)org.apache.http.impl.client.DefaultRequestDirector.executeOriginal(DefaultRequestDirector.java:1393)org.apache.http.impl.client.DefaultRequestDirector.execute(DefaultRequestDirector.java:702)org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:694)org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:516)org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:494)com.evernote.android.a.h.b(TAndroidHttpClient.java:181)com.evernote.e.h.i.m(UserStore.java:373)com.evernote.e.h.i.e(UserStore.java:364)com.evernote.client.f.b(BaseSession.java:162)com.evernote.client.t.b(EvernoteSession.java:767)com.evernote.client.SyncService.a(SyncService.java:6461)com.evernote.ui.fh.run(EvernotePreferenceActivity.java:179)[...]2015-04-11 18:48:21,111 ERROR [ak] - retryRequest()::executionCount1:: exception=java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed outjava.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed outcom.android.org.conscrypt.NativeCrypto.SSL_read(Native Method)com.android.org.conscrypt.OpenSSLSocketImpl$SSLInputStream.read(OpenSSLSocketImpl.java:728)org.apache.http.impl.io.AbstractSessionInputBuffer.fillBuffer(AbstractSessionInputBuffer.java:103)org.apache.http.impl.io.AbstractSessionInputBuffer.readLine(AbstractSessionInputBuffer.java:191)org.apache.http.impl.conn.DefaultResponseParser.parseHead(DefaultResponseParser.java:82)org.apache.http.impl.io.AbstractMessageParser.parse(AbstractMessageParser.java:174)org.apache.http.impl.AbstractHttpClientConnection.receiveResponseHeader(AbstractHttpClientConnection.java:180)org.apache.http.impl.conn.DefaultClientConnection.receiveResponseHeader(DefaultClientConnection.java:235)org.apache.http.impl.conn.AbstractClientConnAdapter.receiveResponseHeader(AbstractClientConnAdapter.java:259)org.apache.http.protocol.HttpRequestExecutor.doReceiveResponse(HttpRequestExecutor.java:279)org.apache.http.protocol.HttpRequestExecutor.execute(HttpRequestExecutor.java:121)org.apache.http.impl.client.DefaultRequestDirector.executeOriginal(DefaultRequestDirector.java:1393)org.apache.http.impl.client.DefaultRequestDirector.execute(DefaultRequestDirector.java:702)org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:694)org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:516)org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:494)com.evernote.android.a.h.b(TAndroidHttpClient.java:181)com.evernote.e.f.w.e(NoteStore.java:1907)com.evernote.e.f.w.b(NoteStore.java:1898)com.evernote.client.f.b(BaseSession.java:378)com.evernote.client.SyncService.a(SyncService.java:4171)com.evernote.client.SyncService.a(SyncService.java:3130)com.evernote.client.SyncService.a(SyncService.java:3045)com.evernote.client.SyncService.o(SyncService.java:3262)com.evernote.client.SyncService.onHandleIntent(SyncService.java:10464)android.app.IntentService$ServiceHandler.handleMessage(IntentService.java:65)android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:102)android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:145)android.os.HandlerThread.run(HandlerThread.java:61)If I desactivate the proxy (direct connexion again), no more issue, the data upload works fine. I also made tries with Evernote on my desktop and Androïd phone (plain Lollipop 5.1), with AdBlock Plus again, and this problem does not exit. Does the issue come from a SSL issue when the data upload goes through a proxy on 5.0.2? I can't be sure. But, as I think many people still use Lollipop 5.0.2 and AdBlock Plus, I write this post just to give the workaround: if facing the issue in the same configuration as me, just desactivate AdBlock Plus proxy, and EverNote will work well again Regards, Ardemius
  15. Hi i often import bigger pdf files into my notes and sometimes the connection on the go isn't the best. So it would be great to have a progress bar for active uploads for your notes. Regards Robin
  16. Like lots of others here, I'm busily converting to a paperless state from a folder-driven hard drive (or several) and a small paper mountain. One of the inefficiencies of my former folder lifestyle was that sometimes files got duplicated - either because I wanted to file something in two or more places, or I just forgot where I had the first copy and created another. It's not a major hazard - I just ran a duplicate checker against a library folder tree of over a thousand files and came up with 43 duplicates - but it does happen. If I upload a duplicate file to Evernote it's not going to be a major issue either - sooner or later a search will find it/ them and I'll kill one or the other copy. For efficiency and elegance (and bandwidth and upload limit) though, I wondered how non-trivial it would be for Evernote to have an option to run a content check against each file as it is submitted and flag duplicates with a "you uploaded this identical file before" error?
  17. Ok, I've been happily chugging along emailing messages to my Evernote upload address. I sent about 10-20 a day, depending on what I get in my inbox. Last night I go a bizarre email from Evernote. Here's a pic of it: https://www.evernote.com/shard/s24/sh/1e63de59-a6cc-4840-92e6-ad2a4aebba64/5adc94b9733cbd75628d7f08e77f18cf (I've also attached a pic in case this link breaks) Support tells me there is a 250 message limit on incoming messages, but there's no way I've come anywhere close to that. I got another error message just like the one above when I tried to forward a message to my upload email address. Has anyone else experienced this or found a resolution? Cheers, Osric
  18. Hi there, I know that there has been discussions on how to move "personal notes" to "business notes". Apparently, there is not yet a solution for it (only through a work around). What happens with pictures? I want to upload my written notes to my business account. Unfortunately, all pictures are automatically uploaded to my personal account. Is there a way of uploading pictures directly to the business account (hopefully without a work around)? Otherwise this would become really painful. Thanks a lot mucki100
  19. I'm totally confused about my upload quota. If i add a typewritten (text) note to Evernote, does that count against my upload quota? Then, if I edit said text note, that counts as an addition to my quota, too? Is my upload quota affected by the fact that I have Evernote on 3 devices, all synced? My Mac, an iPhone, and an iPad? Does that triple the amount of space I'm using? So, typing in a note from the keyboard is called an upload to the web, as well as to my device? Or can I type something in to Evernote on my computer, and not have it count as an upload? Why didn't I get an email alert telling me I've gone over my monthly quota? I have gone over my quota for the month, but never got an alert. Yesterday, I added a note (by using the keyboard) to Evernote on my Mac. Later, I noticed the note wasn't on my iPhone. This morning, I noticed the note wasn't on any of my devices. I just don't understand how this works.
  20. When I try to upload a file and I use the attach files button, I get to a windows explorer window that is automatically sorted by name and I cannot resort by date. Can you please tell me how to do that?
  21. I have auto-sync turned off as I don't want to sync from PC to other devices or cloud. Happy to use on PC only, keep data on PC. My questions: * Under Tools > Account Info it says I have used 22MB of my monthly upload allowance - I'm guessing this relates to actual uploads, not local storage, right? (I may have manually synced recently by mistake.) * How can I get off the Evernote servers what I have already accidentally synced? I don't want anything in the cloud, I want it on my PC only. (I realise this makes me different to most people at the moment, but hey.) * To prevent syncing or uploading my notes to the cloud in the future, is it enough to turn off auto-sync? Thanks in advance. : )
  22. I'm new to Evernote so please correct me if I am wrong. While scanning documents directly to Evernote is very convenient does it not contribute to an increase in upload usage? Here's a sample use case: I scan a pile of documents directly into Evernote. For simplicity sake let's say Evernote creates a single Note with the scanned documents in a single .pdf. This will count as 1 upload (let's say 100MB - it's a large document!). Once my scanned document is in Evernote I would typically want to re-name the title of the newly created note. Doesn't the simple act of renaming the note force an additional sync thus doubling my upload usage to 200MB? If the above is true then I'm curious to know if there are any work-around's. Could I work offline to do all my scanning and renaming and only go-online & sync once I am satisfied? Given that Evernote retains a history of edits for a given note I wonder if this work-around would work... or if Evernote would still send two versions of the Note to account for the history meaning we are still uploading 2 x 100MB Notes. Interested to hear what others experience with this is. Thanks!
  23. Hi! I want to upload a lecture that was recorded on my iPhone (iOS 7) to Evernote. Is there a way to do this directly from my phone. Or will I have to export it via iTunes and then upload it via Evernote on my mac ?
  24. How do I include links to files in notes without uploading the file? In a note I wish to keep track of files on my computer that are relevant to the note. I do however not wish to upload the files, keep them locally. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Olaf
  25. The last two months, I have reached the monthly upload maximum within a few days of the monthly cycle refreshing. I am not aware of any extremely large files that I have been uploading during this period of time. Is there a way to determine if particular files are hogging the available monthly MBs for uploading or has anyone else experienced something similar and can offer suggestions. I have almost 20 days left and I've maxed out already and I prefer not to have to pay to add capacity.
