  1. Hey everyone, I've been running into a really annoying problem with Evernote Web Clipper. I use it to regularly archive cool articles, and over the last week it completely swallowed up my upload allowance. Even when I clip a "simplified article", the file can sometimes exceed 5MB! Is there any setting to compress simplified articles? It is a huge annoyance since it can easily complete that function and become a much better program, no one needs huge notes like that. Also I was going to consider paying to get the extra bandwidth, but $3 a month? $36 a year? That's the minimum??? That's kind of ridiculous. Thanks, Mohamed
  2. I have used Evernote for Windows and iOS for about 2 years but have only used it for text notes. I want to start using web clipper, importing documents and images and smaller screen captures. I know these will increase the overall size of my database but does each imported item get uploaded/downloaded every time I open Evernote? I am currently averaging 10% of my free 60 MB monthly upload quota. Does my usage only increase the first time I upload new content? Or does my usage increase each time I download content on my various linked devices? What about each time my devices sync? Thanks for any education on this topic!
  3. After using a basic evernote account for over a year (max upload allowance of 60MB) without incident, a few days ago I presumably hit the maximum upload allowance and until I figure out what to do about it I'm stuck. My work on EN has come to a halt. I didn't think that my usage changed and if uploads are calculated from the first of each month I only made it to January 7 before I was notified I reached the upload allowance. I was notified in a pop-up that if I wanted to continue that I needed to upgrade to Premium for $49.95/year. I'd rather stay with Basic (free) as I think it serves my purposes, or did up until now. My question: If I delete some of the material I've clipped and saved in EN notebooks, does anyone know if this will free up space in the calculation of my upload allowance for this month? Could I then resume uploading into the newly available space...does it work that way?
  4. Dear Evernote, I am referring mainly to the Premium and Business Accounts, I understand that you can and probably should limit uploads in any way you like for people who are using your amazing service for free. But...why not something like... Free 1GB Premium 5GB Business 10GB $5 a month to increase one's quota by only 1GB seems rather ridiculous when compared to current cloud storage prices. Thank you.
  5. I have a new account that's just about a week old. Right now I have a total of 26 small text notes and one note containing a 826kb pdf. Somehow I've already used 63.8 MB of my monthly upload allowance. I have annotated with highlights the pdf heavily... currently at 125 annotations...is this somehow responsible for 60+ mb of data?
  6. When I upload a web article (or a whole page) to my Evernote account, frequently there are photos that take up many more bytes than the text, which is what I really want. I can edit the note after it is already clipped and uploaded, and delete the photos. That saves storage space on Evernote servers as well as my own on-disk storage later when I synch to my home computer running Evernote as an app -- but it does not reduce how much I have uploaded via the clipper. That's what counts toward my monthly upload allowance. I have Evernote Clearly, but I see no way to edit out the images before I clip. This goes not only for Firefox which is at my office, but also IE which I use at home and Chrome which I use on a couple other computers.
