  1. It's way too easy to delete a note without realizing it. Would love to see a warning "you are about to delete this note" or pop-up confirming "do you really want to delete this note?". Way better than sifting through the trash to find accidental deletions in the slurry of intentionally deleted notes that perhaps share the same name...
  2. Hi, how can I restore deleted notes? Thanks
  3. I am an EBA Admin for four EBAs. Today I am working on two of them, 8 users on and 6 on another. They share notebooks between EBAs. I am setting up a new user. I have his temp email, and I set up his Evernote on a Windows computer beside me. On my computer, I shared the notebooks he needs to do his new job. In error, I shared a notebook with him that I should not have. From inside his Windows desktop client app, I "left" the notebook. Here's the problem: after he left the notebook, all of the notes from that notebook were found and still accessible in his Trash. With all of the notes that were ever deleted from this notebook, going back years! Worse, I was able to copy them and put them into his personal Evernote account. From my computer, I went to the admin console/Content/Notebooks. I selected the notebook, chose "show details" and clicked on the x after his name. I went back into his account on the other computer, and synced, and the notes were no longer in his Trash. Has anyone else seen this?
  4. My File looks blurry some looks like the via has redacted the info. What the hell. And I can only upload 500...KB so you can't see how f'd the file is.
  5. Is it possible to reposition the position of the trash Folder? It resides way down at the bottom after all of my tags.
  6. I opened my Evernote desktop app window, and ALL of my business notes were gone. I use Evernote for work, so this is a HUGE issue. Notes are not in trash, not in the web app, nowhere. I did not manually back anything up, as I believed everything would be stored on the web. PLEASE HELP.
  7. I've been using Evernote on my mac for a few years now, and I have 10 versions of Evernote in my applications folder. When it updates to a new version, it doesn't delete the older version for some reason. Older versions of Evernote are using up over a GB on my hard drive for no reason. Any time I've tried to delete the older versions myself, it says I can't empty the trash because some files are locked. But I can't find the files and I've never been able to find information about it online. I can't believe I'm the only one with this issue though. Does anyone know how to get rid of the older versions? I've even tried deleting the current version and just wiping all traces of Evernote from my mac and starting over - doesn't work.
  8. Hi, 2 days ago my phone was stolen, and the person who did it, delete all my notes of my evernote account and also from trash, so is there any posibility to restore to a last point , or get all my notes back because it was not me? thanks
  9. Hello, I'm a long-time user of Evernote, I like to copy-paste articles from the web and read them later on my preferred device, I'm quite happy of such tool. However it's not so perfect at all, not on this particolar "issue": deleted notes on the trash bin are losing their formatting, especially the older ones. I could move them to another notebook but on mobile it's faster to delete and keep them on the "trash" notebook... My main language is not English so please bear with me. Thanks in advance. Bye.
  10. Deleting notes, fine. Works great and goes into the trash like it's supposed to. Does anyone know how to delete the Notebooks via the web, or even the iphone Evernote app? I have a bunch of " conflicting ...." & useless notebooks that I can't get rid of or drag to the trash, and the delete option ends up not being available in the edit menu. With a lot of them, it's just a useless note, in a notebook. I can delete the note in there fine, but the notebook still exists. It's really just starting to look cluttered. Many mess... much annoying.
  11. Emptying Trash is suggested as a cure for syncing problems. However, there are those who want to keep 'trashed' notes available for later search. To keep that option available, one must either 1) move all 'trashed' notes to a new 'Ex-Trash' notebook or 2) export all trashed notes. (Restore' doesn't help here because that puts each note back in its original notebook rather than keep all 'trashed' notes together.) But sometimes the 'Move' runs into the problem when the 'Move to Notebook' button is dimmed; or the 'Export' either issues an error dialog or a dialog indicating all selected notes were exported when in fact no notes were exported. Possible workarounds for these 'Move to notebook' or 'Export' from Trash problems: Sign out of the account and back in. Or select a smaller set of notes and Move (to an 'Ex-Trash notebook) or Export. (If the problem recurs, select a still smaller set. Problems with a multiple note selection might disappear when notes are selected individually.) Repeat until larger sets of notes can be successfully moved or exported.
  12. Just found out that my most used notebook in evernote, with over 600 notes, all tagged, is moved to trash! I'm pretty sure I didn't do it. It's my most active notebook, there's no reason for my to delete it. In fact, I don't even remember any of the notebooks I created. I hope someone can explain how this happened. I managed to restore the notes from trash, but all the tags are now gone.
  13. thankfully this is a hypothetical quesiton if i delete a note from a notebook, then delete it from the trash, then buy evernote premium afterwards, can you recover that note ? thanks
  14. Usually you hear horror stories of people losing data because they didn't backup, but in my case, my horror story is due to a slip of the mouse, and I accidentally selected "Restore Deleted Notes" when right-clicking on the Evernote "Trash", instead of "Empty Trash". Now I am staring in horror, watching Evernote restore hundreds of deleted and redundant notes to my account, because the "Restore Deleted Notes" option does not warn you that it's about to restore the deleted notes and give you an option to abort the operation. I dont suppose there is any way to "undo" a "Restore Deleted Notes" operation, is there? If not, I would like to submit a formal Feature Request to the Evernote Mac development team to implement a modal warning dialog box to this feature, so as to avoid mistakes like this. Either that, or implement a user-definable "Empty Trash after xx days/hours/weeks" option, so the magnitude of making such an error won't be as bad as accidentally restoring notes from an infinitely non-expiring Trash folder.
  15. Halo, I have trouble syncing my Evernote in android. It wont sync. I have checked by logging into evernote web. my updated data from my android is not showing, but if I sync my evernote in windows it works just fine. But I use my Android all the time so I need my Android to be sync, otherwise why I need to use evernote if the sync failed. in FAQ page it suggest: Empty your 'Trash' notebook - Sometimes a note in your 'Trash' notebook will cause sync problems. In this case, emptying the 'Trash' may resolve the sync issues. There is no way to restore notes once they have been emptied from 'Trash'.Uninstall/Reinstall Evernote - Before uninstalling Evernote, ensure that all your notes are synced and visible in Evernote Web. You may also wish to backup or save a copy of your notes. How to uninstall and reinstall Evernote on your device.I am going to try emptying my Tras.h Notebook in my android as evernote suggest. How to do it? since I didn't find the option to do it in Trash Notebook. But The main issue is the syncing matter. Could anyone help me with this matter.? I Have attached my Account and device info and also my log for refference. Best regards,
  16. Hi, perhaps someone has come across this? I want to empty my Trash. I've read the guidance for Android but the only option I get when selecting a trash note in Trash (using three dots) is to "restore note". No other option avalable eg to fully delete or remove from Trash. Thank you in advance for any help. Regards graham.
  17. Trash is good. No need for starting the computer for save a note. And the new note button is adjustable in tablets. Fix and improved camera function (don't know more, hope it's meaning that there's no need for 2-4 pictures to get a scan...)
  18. Hello This is my first post to the forum. On my iPod Touch, I accidentally deleted an article. I found it in the Trash folder, but according to Evernote support, all I need to do is: "If you think you may have accidentally deleted a note and would like to "undelete" the note, follow these steps: In your Evernote client, browse to the bottom of the Notebooks list and you'll see the Trash Locate the note you'd like to restore and click "Restore Note". Note that this will place the note back in the notebook in which it resided before being deleted." The problem is that there is no "Restore Note" button in the iOS app. How do I restore an item from Trash to a folder in the iOS app? Thanks!
  19. I have a concern based on what the EN Desktop is showing and what the online EN Application is showing. Simply put the attached images show that the EN Desktop thinks that there are 11 notes in trash and the online EN Application is showing zero. I have expressed concerns before with sync issues based around tags. I have also just logged a call with EN Support as I am getting 2 errors based on 2 notes where it is showing an error on sync with "contains resource with missing data"
  20. One of the best and biggest chords and tabs webpage out there is http://www.cifraclub.com.br/ They have chords for guitar, piano and many other instruments, as well as one of the most up-to-date and high quality tab collections out there. But it is not compatible with Evernote. The web clipper clips "to much" of the webpage, the extension "Clearly" takes out all the tabbing code and the chord images at the end of the page. Imagine the possibilities: Every musician would love to save his favorite chords/lyrics into evernoteEvery musician would love to have offline access to that content (more PREMIUM USERS!!)Cifraclub is the perfect page for users to do this (standard formating, high quality, etc)But, there is no easy/fast way to save all this content into evernote. Give this post a +1 if you think evernote should work together with Cifraclub to make my dream come true! PS: Cifraclub already has a "print view" of chords that could be used for that if it was changed just a bit. Example print view: http://www.cifraclub.com.br/maroon-5/this-love/imprimir.html
  21. If I go to Manage Trash in the admin console, then select the by user selection, I can only see 10 people. We have 29. There is no apparent way to scroll. I have Chrome 25.
