  1. I never used the thumbnail view before when browsing my notes but with the latest updates for Mac, I figured I would try out the new card view. I'm curious to know what logic EN uses to display the image in the card? For instance, if a note has multiple images in it, which one does EN select to display? I use EN for business use and could find this new feature useful for browsing notes but need to know how I can control the image that is displayed.
  2. Hi, I HATE the feature where a thumbnail of an image from the document is displayed in the list of notes. I often have long titles that I want to see and when a thumbnail is displayed I loose so much of the title text that I often have to open a note just to see what the title is. It's particularly aggravating when the thumbnail is just the generic PDF icon. Is there any way to turn the thumbnails off? Also, I have the same question re the information that shows up to the right of the tags of a note. Sometimes it's an arbitrarily selected URL, sometimes it's a location, and I think I've seen other things there as well. It's never anything I want to see and it takes space that I need to see tags for the note. Can that be disabled? Thanks, Mike
  3. When I have multiple images in a note, it's not possible to manage from with image the thumbnail is shown, see the attached image.
  4. I'm new to Evernote and trying to organize my crafting supplies into categories and add images as well. I can add the pictures just fine, however, I want a thumbnail to show up in the folder column, so I don't have to click on each one seperately to view the picture. A few are showing up but most are not. Anyone know how I can accomplish this on each and every note? I wondered if it may be due to the size of the pictures I add, but I am not sure how to make them smaller. Thanks for any help!
  5. The thumbnails for my web clippings are often completely random images from the page that have nothing to do with the content. Also, the thumbnails are different on web to the ones on the ios app. Just seems very inconsistent. I want to save recipes so it's really helpful if i can see the correct image which is usually the image at the top of the web page but Evernote tends to choose one at random, often down the bottom of the page. Anyone having similar problems? Or had a reply from Evernote about future plans to solve this? Thanks, Adam
  6. I am using Android Evernote with OnePlus 3 and I have a problem with showing the thumbnails. I have been using Evernote with Galaxy S7 and all thumbnails were correctly shown, no matter the note was created with camera or adding an attachment. with Oneplus 3 when I create a note from camera the thumbnail is shown, but when I create a note with an attachment from previously taken photos the thumbnails is not shown. Instead, a grey image is shown (see attachment). This is quite annoying. What am I doing wrong?
  7. Hello everyone, I'm sorry this might not be the right forum, but I didn't know where else to post this.. After some trial and error I pinned down the problem I have with thumbnails not being displayed. So here is what I do: - Clip a website (doesn't matter if I choose "whole website" or just "article" via the Web Clipper in Firefox. I.e. this one: http://www.eliseeats.com/home/2015/1/25/chimichurri-pork-chops - Open Evernote Web Version: I see the article in the list view, next to it a grey document icon, but no thumbnail - Same in Evernote Touch for Windows 8.1 (there, the 'missing-image' icon is green) - Also no thumbnail and no 'missing image' icon on the Iphone app - Then, I open the Windows desktop version of Evernote and -tadaaa- I get a thumbnail This behavior seems to depend on the content I clip. It doesn't happen with all websites, but with lots. Hope you can fix this or tell me what I'm doing wrong. Cheers
  8. The thumbnails are not displaying in Snippet view on my Samsung Galaxy S4 after the phone auto-syncs. I have uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled the app several times but unfortunately this has not resolved the issue. Is this a known bug? If so, is there a planned patch release soon? Thanks.
  9. I upgraded my scanner and found that Evernote won't make thumbnails for my 600dpi scans, but is fine doing so with my 300dpi scans (of 8.5"x11" pages). Instead of running a bunch of tests, I figured I'd ask: what's the maximum resolution that the web client will show thumbnails of? Clearly it's something less than 5100x9350 Honestly 300dpi archives of paper are probably more than good enough, but I figured I'd ask. Thanks! --PJ
  10. Hi, Firstly, I love Evernote and have it on all my devices. I use it at work and at home. On Android and Windows. Evernote rules OK. With every update it gets better and better. Well it did, but now I'm really disappointed. It's still as awesome as ever on Windows, but on Android... I'm gutted, I can no longer see thumbnails in Snippet View when sorting the notes on 'Title', they've been replaced by aaagh! tags... Thumbnails still appear if sorted on any date-related field, but if you're like me and a little particular (read OCD), and need your list in title order with thumbnails, you're going to be disappointed too. The view I get now when sorted in date-related order is pretty (with thumbnails), but makes my brain implode as it's in the wrong order (i.e. no real sort of order at all). When sorted in Title order it's all all good, but did I mention the tags?? oh and the title can't fit with the tags so they're truncated and no real use at all.. Please can you advise if this is a choice, or a defect. If it's a choice, please change your minds and if it's a defect, please fix it. Thank you
  11. I rely heavily on thumbnails when scrolling thru notes. With the latest Android updates, the thumbnails are gone. I do not see an obvious way to show them. Help? Please and thank you.
  12. Hi all, Not sure if this has been bought up, but I believe images should be able to be stored as thumbnails (reduced size and quality) to speed up the time it takes to share notes on slow connection. Scenario: I have colleagues in South Africa, who I liaise with regularly, I take photos of work that is was done so that they have a clearer picture. Unfortunately they do not have the fastest Internet service available, and would always give up half way as it takes a while to download the images. Solution: Images added to Evernote automatically have thumbnails created, which are used instead of the full resolution inline images. These can either be viewed one by one or as the note taker wanted them to be seen. It will not only save a lot of time, but bandwidth too for both my colleagues and evernote. Whats say you all? Note: Only added other as a category as All devices is not an option.
  13. Hi How could I post posts with thumbnails on postach.io... but from Android? I can do that without problems using the pc chrome web clipper... but it´s impossible from my Samsung Galaxy SIII (I can only post texts and url when I Share an article from my mobile device with the evernote app) Anyone could help me? Sorry for my English
  14. I have a lot of images in my Evernote and I'm trying to get them to my SurfaceRT. So far, only headers/text are synced for offline use, all images are missing and are downloaded only when I open the note. Opening 500 notes to see thumbnails is boring, to say the least. I rely on thumbnails a lot for finding the right note Some notes show attachement icon in thumbnail view but only of a fraction of them Sync crashed multiple time when I installed Evernote first time Missing images - is that bug or a "feature"? - if bug - how can I re-sync so that images and thumbnails will follow? - if feature - please consider adding full sync option, "off" by defaul Remember - Surface RT (and quite some other tablets) is without 3G/4G option and really needs better offline caching to be useful on trips or just outside (yes, I can find WiFi-less spots even in Estonia )
  15. Hello I've been having a problem with thumbnails. All of my notes have ONE image, sized to about 600x700. Some of my notes have the correct thumbnail, some show no thumbnail, and some show the wrong thumbnail. The thumbnails are really important to the way I use Evernote so I'd love to be able to fix this! I use the web version. Hope someone can help! Thanks =)
  16. I'm having a weird problem with the Android app. My wife clipped a bunch of notes from the desktop Windows program using the screen capture function. When these notes get synced to the mobile app, and viewed in the note grid, there are 2 out of about 9 or 10 that have no thumbnail, just a white square. All the others have a thumbnail. I can't figure out why. I've tried clearing the cache and data, but it happens on all my Android devices, tablet and phone. And it's just those two stubborn notes. I tried opening them in the desktop, changing something in the note and resaving, but those two notes won't generate a thumbnail. Anybody got a clue what might prevent a thumbnail image from getting made?
  17. I'm an architect and I'm using Evernote daily in my work. I'd like to be able to add a favorite preview image into a note. Something like this: http://d.pr/i/czHS I think it is a useful features for architects and photographers in order to organize their works. Sorry for my english. Thanks.
  18. Hello, I have a galaxy note and the thumbnails do not show for new notes in snippet mode. This started to happen recently. I logged out and re synced my whole offline 4GB again and they came up but then all new notes will again not show the thumbnails. I have the latest beta and confirm it is the same problem on the Beta as the stable release. Any help would be appreciated. Steve
