  1. Hello there! I would like to ask if there is a way to use an internal, office template for penultimate instead of default templates currently on the application?
  2. Watching YouTube occasionally pays off - someone covering something else entirely mentioned a Chrome add-in called Text Blaze which inserted a standard paragraph into a document. I've been a Phrase Express user for years which does exactly that; but if you might be in the market for a way to add standard date formats / page layouts / pre-saved paragraphs and other variables into a note, Text Blaze is worth a look...   3. I use the 'Copy note to..' feature everyday for a daily journal template, however I feel it would be better if I could perform a similar action from the note creation screen itself. It feels more intuitive to do this as I find myself going to the create a new note, for my daily journal, without thinking about it. Maybe because I'm used to using this in another piece of software (agile project tracker). Would it be straightforward for the user to select notes as "template" in the same way you can select notes as a "shortcut"?
  4. We love using the yearly calendar template for keeping track of projects happening at the same time or overlapping time. Is there a 2018 template available yet?
  5. In Android, there is no option to copy a note. The duplicate option will create a copy but with the 'tags' in it. When using templates, during duplicating a template file creates a copy of that template as a note, with the tags given for template. If I use add some tags to a template note, this will not copied when I use 'copy note' function in Windows but not in Web & Android.
  6. I had some initial frustration trying to create a nice form in EN to use as a template. In the Windows version, and on my Android devices, I could find no way to control the width of columns or to add color. (Maybe someone can drop a suggestion here.) I discovered that if i create the form in Excel or in the Google 'Sheet' app, I can add all the formatting and color I care to, and then just copy and paste the form into an EN note, and all the formatting carries over.   7. You don't have to advice me to update my software to latest version. I am currently using and interested to keep using this 1.1.0.154 version. Anybody, who has used or is still using is appreciated to share ideas to help me make templates or how do you make templates in the following formats I have asked. If you already have templates, that you wish to share is also welcomed. Thank you.

  11. I've just found an applescript which helps creating a new note by choosing a templete note from the notebook "Template" preset and it works pretty well. However, I'm wondering if anyone knows how to add a command in the script so that the new note can be created directly to a particular notebook (and even with tags preset if possible) ? Thank you!   12. I have been a premium member for few years now and I love the flexibility EN offers for my needs. I tried the EN presentation mode on Mac and I am not happy with the results. Spacing is erratic, can not change default presentation font. Sanskrit for systems picks is awful. I wanted to see if anyone seen Evernote theme Keynote or powerpoint presentation. I need background, colors to look like Evernote. I am asking first because if its available I don't need to waste my time on it. When creating online videos lessons it would help me to toggle between my EN - notes and the presentation and still maintain the consistency. Thanks for your help.
  13. HI! I have been using evernote for a while to just collect recipes. Today, I have decided to use it to catalog some sewing patterns...and I wish to make a "template". After reading many things here, templates are not really something that is available. I have seen however many OLDER comments about copying and pasting notes. What does seem possible is creating a note that lives in a notebook that is called "template" and then copied when needed to the appropriate notebook for editing. I have Win 8 and an ipad. I have been trying to copy a simple note with just a few lines, and then pasteing in into the "coats and dresses" notebook so I can add a photo and edit it with my ipad. For the life of me, I can't do this. I right click on the note, and the ONLY option I get to copy is to "copy to clipboard". When I do so, and go into the "coats and dresses" notebook to then *paste* it, I right click and there is no option. The odd thing is I can click, drag, and drop it directly from the "template" notebook into the "coats and dresses" notebook. But the problem is, the note dissapears from the "template" notebook. Is this now something that is only a premium feature now? Am I missing something?
  14. Hi Guys, I know there is a feature in the desktop client to copy note to another notebook but I would like an option to copy note within the same notebook (maybe called duplicate note). The reason for this is that despite the content being different, it would be quicker to duplicate a previous note (in order to get the tags and information filled in) and then simply delete the content and replace it. It occurs to me this could become an enhancement... you could depreciate the move to notebook option and replace it with a duplicate option. When you click on duplicate it could pop up a window saying which notebook do you want to copy it to (with the default being the current notebook). This would offer greater functionality without affecting the original method. UI would be surprised if this has not already been considdered but I would like to know why you have decided against it if so. Thanks & regards, John
  15. I've made an AppleScript for creating a new note from a template. You can choose a template from a pop up list of template notes which are stored in a single template notebook. You can then choose where (in which existing notebook) to place the new note. Next you can enter a title for your new note. The script can insert a date/time stamp into your note. You can configure the name of the template notebook (default '_templates') and the value of the template tag (default 'template'). The new note can be configured to open in an existing EN window or in its own window. You can view the code here. The script is attached. I hope you'll find this script usefull. When I copy another user's note shared with me because it was set up as a template, I want either the author to change to me or to allow the last edited by person to show up in the title bar of the list of notes. Looks like this field is available on the i (information) pull-down, but is not populated. I'm using the free version of Evernote on Win 10.

Structured lists, forms and analysis of note content were possible... as well as linking Evernote and Google Calendar. Another in the long line of folks who offer a great service but couldn't maintain a healthy cashflow. At that point then Transpose.com will no longer be available, all online and sync features of the mobile apps will stop working, and for your privacy your data will no longer be stored on our servers.   22. I wanted to create my own note template with HTML. I started to fiddle with a content.enml file i found in the database. Seems pretty straightforward html + css so i started editing the file but after saving there are no changes at all. I found that on the other hand, changes in note.xhtml are reflected in the note but then they are not transfered to the content.enml file. Should i create a template using note.xhtml and then use it somehow as a template? This article doesn't seem to mention what to do – https://dev.evernote.com/doc/articles/enml.php
  23. I created a "daily review" template, which contains an excel file with tracking on what I work. I thought this file is one file and will updated on my computer, but I only today realized: no, when I duplicate the template to create a note for the day, it duplicates the excel file too - and when I add info to the file, will be only this one updated. (on my computer the next version is from 14. May. Any idea how to make work this? Because it was such a good idea: I have all my steps to do for my daily review, and also the file I have to refresh. I can duplicate/or use the note from yesterday too, but then I have uncheck every task, what gives me more work, and I use Evernote for decreasing my work
  24. And today KustomNote closed. And Transpose open Same username, same password But you'll need to reconnect Evernote to your new Transpose account, but the experience should be seamless after that. I'm an user not employed and can't give any support
  25. The Evernote Business Card scanner feature has been a great time savings. It would be remarkably useful if the Note format was available as a template in order to use with ALL contacts. Particularly useful would be the option of adding additional fields especially a customizable "Other" field that would allow a user specified field title/name. I would be interested if anyone has developed anything like this for their contact management needs. If not, please consider my suggestion. Thank you.
