  1. Hi Everybody I have a Desktop Evernote (6.8.7.6387 (306387) Public (CE Build ce-1.36.3494)) installed on my Windows 10 Home edition 1709 Version. Since a couple of month both Evernote Icon on the start menu and on the taskbar have no evernote logo on the icon. I have tried to uninstal and install it a couple of times withous solving the problem. Another interesting thing is that when Evernote is running on my computer, it creates another icon, instead of showing that little white bar under the icon fixed on the taskbar. Thank you for your comments. All the best,
  2. Evernote for desktop generates a duplicate icon in the taskbar in addition to the pinned program icon. It ends up making my taskbar look very cluttered when I have Evernote open; I'd appreciate a more seamless, integrated look. Instead of adding a blue bar to the bottom of the pinned icon, a duplicate icon with the blue bar appears alongside the original. From what I have read, this is an incompatibility issue that can only be resolved by the developer (https://www.ghacks.net/2015/08/04/fix-duplicate-icon-issues-on-the-windows-taskbar/).
  3. I like having Evernote pinned to my taskbar for easy access. However, everything I update, its icon disappears from the taskbar. It is a minor annoyance, but it would be great if it would stay there.
  4. This issue is really bothering me, so I created an account here just to ask for help. I installed Windows 10 Pro today and Evernote is the only app that isn't behaving normally. The app itself is fine, but when open it produces a second icon in the taskbar. If you pin either icon they are both pinned, and the same with unpinning either one. I have tried pinning the .exe in the Evernote directory to no avail. When Evernote isn't open, only one icon is present in the taskbar. But once opened the second annoying icon appears, whether or not Evernote is a pinned app.
  5. Hi Evernote touch, I have seen in one post, may be just an experiment for Evernote? The software looks great but clearly needs developing. The interface is vastly better than the standard Windows version. Vastly. It really looks like next generation computing. Make it easier to display the toolbar at the bottom (font, bold, italics etc.), easier to import pics etc. and Evernote touch should take off. I'm using E. touch in conjunction with the classic Windows version, because in the latter, pasting images is a doddle. No loss of data experienced so far - fingers crossed. Can we get a clear-cut response from Evernote as to whether they intend to continue supporting E. touch? Many thanks Guy Cruls
  6. I'm using Windows 7 and haven't been able to pin Evernote to my taskbar in a while (I think since the upgrade to version 4). I've researched the problem through the forums and have tried all suggestions--both making sure I haven't pinned a shortcut (I haven't--opened from the program file and tried to pin from that icon) and uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing's helped. When Evernote is open, I get the blank paper sheet default Windows icon instead of the Evernote logo and the right-click menu has Evernote shortcuts (new note, find note, clip screenshot, etc.) and no option to pin to taskbar. Anyone have ideas? I love Evernote and I love my taskbar.
  7. I am using a Scansnap S1300 and Windows 7. In the taskbar, the Scansnap Manager icon is crossed out (has a line through it). This happens frequently, even though my Scansnap is turned on, plugged in, and recognized by my computer. I have to restart my computer and then the Scansnap icon is not crossed out and I can use my Scansnap. Then, after a while, it will become crossed out and unavailable once again until I restart my computer. Any ideas on how I can make my Scansnap available for use without having to restart my computer? Thanks, Todd
  8. Hi everyone, 'EvernoteClipper' appears in the Windows taskbar (see picture). It automatically pops up whenever I restart Windows. even though Evernote isn't running (I have auto run on boot turned off). This only started happening after I reformatted my computer a couple weeks ago. To be honest, I'm not even sure what it does, since left clicking on it does nothing and right clicking will bring up the menu in the picture. Hopefully someone can help; I haven't tried clipping anything (since I don't really think I can now... there is no option anywhere) but everything else works fine. Thanks!
