  1. One feature that would make a HUGE impact on the value of Evernote is richer tables - in the style of Airtable and, now, Nimbus Note. This richer functionality would make it possible to do so much more with tables, including things like running a much more powerful editorial calendar. Key features: Cell types such as Single select Date (enabling sorting) Assigned person Rating (enabling sorting) Progress in % (enabling sorting) Numbers (that enable sorting by value) Sorting options for the above
  2. Hello, Is there a way to center a checklist checkbox in a table cell? I have a table cell with a single checklist item and no text, and I'd like the checkbox itself to be centered within the cell. I attempted to do so by selecting the cell and making sure that center justification was selected, but the checkbox itself remains left-justified, and there doesn't appear to be a way to resize the checklist width. See the attached picture for clarification on what I'm trying to accomplish.
  3. Tables are a permanent thing and it will not go away because there's no option to do anything with it. You can't change the size. You can't align the text. And to make things worse, there's no way to exit the table unless you've preemptively added a new line beneath it. I have heard you need to download some add-on in order to customise the tables, but that's just not how you keep a user happy. I shouldn't have to download an add-on for something already built-in and common in all word processors. Please either convince me to keep using this application or tell me what I'm doing wrong tha

  6. I have a small question about tables. I've done some experiments with them, because I want to provide a non-white background to my text notes. I created a single-cell table with a satisfactory color in Word, pasted it into Evernote, and did some minor tweaking. At that point I had a pleasant-looking table that I could add to the list of standard templates. But then I discovered there was a serious problem with resizing the tables. If I make the table fairly narrow, it looks good on my phone but rather awkward on my computer screen; if I make the table wider, then it works better on my com

If I place a table inside my note and remove all spaces between it and a previous paragraph, then go edit that paragraph and press "Delete" while typing inside it, Evernote automatically jumps to the table and selects it. If I press Delete more than once, it deletes the table, which is extremely annoying, and makes me resort to deleting text with Backspace instead. How do I stop this from happening?

I searched the help syntax and the forums before posting this, found only one old topic that was somewhat similar, but it was not a feature request, so here it is: I would like to request the ability to search for all notes that contain tables.   9. Hi everyone, Just joined Evernote forums, but have been using the service for a while for business and personal. Evernote on my android tablet is a must for my day-to-day work life. However, I have one problem, I cannot edit tables (add/remove rows/columns), I can only edit text already in a table.   10. If I post a table from the toolbar I cannot easily add text. The behaviour is not consistant. A cursor never appears in any cell. If I accidentally select more than one cell and type the others are deleted. I tried pasting in a table from excel and the problems are similar. The text in pre populated cells appears but adding text is not in the same cell structure. I see no way to use tables and I'm surprised that they are allowed to be used if they appear to be pointless and unsupported. Can anyone explain what rules if any these table use rather than the ones accepted in the known universe
  11. Hello, I am very frustrated as a paying user that the Windows Evernote formatting I have been using is gone! I had normal Tables to separate Names, Addresses, Dates, Etc... The layout was perfect. The table-lines were visible and on mouse-over they would turn into a thick green so I can decide to add a line or a column. Suddenly this was gone . No more lines that separate the content. The content is whithin invisible cells and I have no longer the option of adding lines and colums. The formatting has gone to sh*t. Instead of my fonttype I get -apple system- . I cant change this.

  13. The help guide here on the site says you can customize tables' column and row widths and change cell colors, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do so in the browser. It also says nested tables are not supported, but this isn't true either. Do things work differently on the actual app version of Evernote?
  14. Just wanted to add my voice to the list of users wanting better tables. I wouldn't want to see Evernote become feature bloated like MS Word. It's simplicity is a plus. So I pretty much don't have a problem with most things in Evernote except for tables, I use tables for everything. Tables have come a long way in the years I've been using Evernote. However they are still very primitive compared to everything else and they're very buggy (Copy Paste gives unpredictable results, etc.). I'd like you to dedicate more resources to updating tables.   15. I want to copy 2 lines of a table in a table of another note. It works perfect but when I open another note and then go back to the note where I have pasted the 2 lines, those are no longer there. See attached recording Copy Paste error.zip
  16. Hello, I use many tables in my Evernote notes (Format -> Table -> Insert Table). Would be nice to have a shortcut for adding a new row or column to the table. Sometimes I have to add 10-30 new rows to existing tables and I have to repeat many times this sequence: Right Mouse Click -> Tables -> Insert row below. I know there are many options: insert row above insert row below insert column to the left insert column to the rigth Maybe some shortcut for "Repeat last action", so I will be able to add a new row below manually and next use the shortc

Have had this happen several times and its beyond frustrating... here's what happens: I'm working with a table that I've created in Evernote and have accidentally clicked and dragged cell content, thereby unintentionally deleting the content. The most frustrating aspect of this, is that when it happens, not only is the content completely deleted, but the "undo" function will not work.   19. When you are using creating tables in a note on mac and you are trying to navigate to input cells, it only goes left to right (as in up_key=left down_key=right). Instead it would make usability better if you could use the Excel style of inputing, as in Left/Right/Up/Down navigation with arrow keys Tab to go to next column's cell Enter to go to next row's cell

  21. If there is a text line space above a table (below the note title), how do I get rid of the line space without losing my table please? Export to HTML produces a blank 2nd page and I'd rather just have the one page for printing. See attached image.

  23. Would really like to have the same functionality for working with tables in the web version as there is one the Windows Desktop app. I work off Chromebooks and use the web version exclusively, which does not have the same level of functionality for tables. Thanks!
  24. Would be awesome if we could add rows and columns to tables. I switched over to a Chromebook so, I'm using Evernote mobile and Evernote web. Both have the same issue. A few have suggested using google spreadsheet, or copying and pasting multiple tables, or adding a few extra rows. Some of these work, but have it's limitations. For example, if you run out of extra rows. Or if you have a chromebook, you can't use any of the workarounds without a computer without the use of google spreadsheets. Screenshot example attached.
  25. Much to my surprise, I recently became a paying Evernote user. When I first encountered the software, I didn't really understand the appeal. With the recent integration between Evernote and Skitch, the program has become an integral part of my workflow. I am a serious fan. However, there is one thing that drives me crazy: the automatically reformatting tables. I'm a college professor, and I regularly use tables to organize and categorize my thoughts in progress.
