  1. Dear all, I have a very simple request: To switch from the title of the note to the tags field by using <tab> Right now both <tab> and <enter> take you from the title to the body of the note, skipping the tags field on the windows or mac client. I know that the shortcut <ctrl>+<alt>+<T> does bring up the tags but as a pop up field.
  2. when I open a new tab, the tab taken its name from the notebook; so if I have to open more notes from the same notebook, all the tabs will have the same nameThe best thing will be have the tab named with the note's name
  3. Hi, "You have been logged out of Evernote"....sigh. Ok - I get the security reason for logging you out every so often - although 30 days seems a little quick to me - but I can deal with that - I'll log back in ok fair enough...my password's saved in Chrome anyway. BUT - what really infuriates me is that once you've logged back in - do you go back to the note you were editing before? No...you go back to a default view of all of your notes. Why? I use Chrome and generally have lots of tabs open - with lots of different Evernote notes open when I'm working on multiple things. It's my 'in progress' stuff - I keep all the tabs open on the things I'm working on. I tell Chrome to re-open with all the tabs that I had open when I closed it - so I close Chrome when I shut my laptop down, and re-open Chrome when I turn it back on again - and there's all my work and notes again as they were. Fine.... except when Evernote decides I need to log in again - and then I just have 10 'you have logged out of evernote' tabs. I log into each one - and they all just go back to the list of notes. Great. Can Evernote be updated to maintain the current note when you've logged out and logged back in again please? The URL must have the note name/ID in it - as you can re-open a tab in a browser and it normally ends up back to the same note - so why does the 'logout / login' process not keep that part of the URL and put you back where you were? Anyone else find this infuriating? I'm using Chrome (Version 61.0.3163.79 (Official Build) (32-bit)) on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 on a Lenovo laptop - and mainly access Evernote through web - but also on the iPhone app.
  4. When creating a new note a user currently adds the title inside the title form field. The user can then hit TAB to advance to the text body. It would be nice if SHIFT-TAB returned from the first character in the text body back to the note title.
  5. In Evernote 6.12 Mac, the tab headings seem to show the folder name and not the name of the open note. This is misleading.
  6. The tab heading shows the name of the folder not the name of the open note. It would be more useful to display the name of the note instead.
  7. I have recently (since last one or two updates ago) noticed that when I use Evernote on my desktop computers (Win10, Evernote ver. 6.4.2.3788) the following keys are not working (nothing happens when pressed): Del, Backspace, Return, Tab. This is the case for two separate computers (both at home and at work) so I doubt it is a computer issue.I am now limited to using Evernote on my iPad. Please fix immediately since it renders the software unusable.
  8. I use tab key a lot, by default, it indent 5 spaces, I want to make it indent 2 spaces for tab key. Is there a way to do so? Thanks!
  9. It appears there is a bug having to do with the list indenting. If I create a new bullet list item, I can adjust its indent level to any level I like using the indent buttons or using tab and shift-tab. However, if I try to do this on a list item that was automatically created by pressing enter (for instance, any list item after the first) then I am restricted such that I cannot bring the indent level back any farther than where I started. So...if I am adding items to the third indent level of a bulleted list and I want to go back to the second tier to keep adding items there, I have to make a brand new list item. I cannot simply shift the indent over to the left because as soon as I go past the third indent level (the level of the automatically created bullet from the last time I hit enter) my bullet disappears entirely and I am left with an indented, but not bulleted list item. This bug does not appear to happen with numbered lists. This makes it annoying to make bulleted lists at all and at times I find myself avoiding Evernote merely for the convenience of making lists somewhere that works (which turns out is most any other word processing solution, even google docs or a web based email...).
  10. Hello! Please please please please PLEASE can the devs sort out tab sizing so that they're not just a fixed number of spaces relative to the preceding text. They're pointless as they stand today as they only provide a 'large space' in a single line rather than to provide vertical straight line list structure to a document. When will this be sorted? Many thanks.
  11. One of the best and biggest chords and tabs webpage out there is http://www.cifraclub.com.br/ They have chords for guitar, piano and many other instruments, as well as one of the most up-to-date and high quality tab collections out there. But it is not compatible with Evernote. The web clipper clips "to much" of the webpage, the extension "Clearly" takes out all the tabbing code and the chord images at the end of the page. Imagine the possibilities: Every musician would love to save his favorite chords/lyrics into evernoteEvery musician would love to have offline access to that content (more PREMIUM USERS!!)Cifraclub is the perfect page for users to do this (standard formating, high quality, etc)But, there is no easy/fast way to save all this content into evernote. Give this post a +1 if you think evernote should work together with Cifraclub to make my dream come true! PS: Cifraclub already has a "print view" of chords that could be used for that if it was changed just a bit. Example print view: http://www.cifraclub.com.br/maroon-5/this-love/imprimir.html
  12. Hi all, I have been using evernote for long time. One thing is always annoying me is that all tabs inserted in windows evernote application are aways gone after the note is edited in mobile apps and save. To temporary solve this problem i use the following when editing in windows: Why i use evernote? . easy to use . user friendly (space above are TAB character) But they look like the below in mobile again when edit Why i use evernote? . easy to use . user friendly I found the indent button is not useful because it could not do some thing like this: Why i use evernote? Easy to use no need to learn what you see is what you get User friendly best for dummy... How can i indent my article in my own way?? I finally use this dummy solution... Why i use evernote? ....Easy to use ........no need to learn ........what you see is what you get ....User friendly ........best for dummy... yes...im dummy now....
  13. I haven't tested this on the Windows client, but I have a gut feeling it is the same. When I type notes, I like to have an outline layout. It provides a detailed hiearchy and gives me a sense of flow to the content. I'm a student, and I use Evernote to track lecture notes, assignments, and exam material. Here's an example note. Part of it was recently imported from OneNote. https://www.evernote.com/shard/s319/sh/70be29e6-afac-4e37-879b-5c3de67292fa/37abd0330097988358e369f9f061bf67 When I hit TAB, it shifts the text to the right, as expected. However, when I hit enter, it goes to the beginning of the next line. It does not retain the current tab position. Is there a setting to allow this? Hitting tab repeatedly is really annoying. Video explanation here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jErSZxo1Tzg&feature=youtu.be System Information: Evernote Version 5.0.7 (400995) OS X 10.8.2 Apple MBP 2011
  14. Hello, I love your software and would like not to be refrained from loving it still and again. Two simple modifications could make my user life so much more enjoyable, though. 1. More direct and easier access to tagging field on the Windows version I mainly use Evernote as a GTD tool. It worked quite decently on my former Mac. Now that I have switched to Windows, a simple feature fails to make Evernote as handy as it used to be: when I created a new note, the title appeared to be the first editable field. Then, I could get direct access to the tagging field by clicking on "tab" (The first letters of the tag's name suffice to add the note to the wished category). Another click on "tab" eventually brought me to the main text box. As I mainly use Evernote for short and quick memo, this configuration was ideal. No mouse clicks were required to add a new tagged memo to my notebook, it could be done only in few seconds. However, Evernote configuration for Windows 7 is now unsatisfying: When I create a new note, the first editable field is the main text box. As I cannot go back to the title through a shortcut, I have to click manually on title field. From there, I then only get access to URL text box by clicking on "tab" (I only use URLs when clipping so it has virtually no uses to provide me a so quick access to this). If I want to tag my note, I either have to select the tagging field manually by mouse or with the alt + ctrl + T shortcut. This shortcut is not appropriate for quick memos as I have to access the text field manually: I don't want to select tags, I would simply like to get access to the tagging field in one click (same as on mac)! The simplest way to make me happy would be to switch (and to make "switchable") the "click to set source url..." button with "click to add tag" so that I could directly process to tagging by clicking on "tab" from the title field. Frankly, I don't understand why is the manual insertion of URL sources prioritised over the tagging. 2. Screen rotation on Android I am the proud owner of a Samsung SIII. I use the landscape layout to type my text. Why is Evernote non-responsive to screen rotation? Thank you very much for your product and I hope it will help you to improve it. Best regards, adlerq
