  1. I normally do not have any synchronisation problems but today my Windows 7 PC is not synchronising manually. Walter JL

  3. Hi, I have the following problem: A friend of mine sent me a note via work chat. I've reseved it and I can open it as well. But when he makes any changes, my note isn't up to date, it's always the same edition from the beginning and I don't know what to do (I tried some basic stuff like delete it and than download it again). Do you have any ideas? Thank you for your fast responds! Chris
  4. Hi, Just a post to explain my issue, and the solution found On my tablet, a galaxy Tab S using Samsung layer over Lollipop 5.0.2, I systematically have a synchronisation issue when uploading data over Wifi. After several tries, I found that this issue was due to AdBlock Plus Androïd application, forcing all network communication to be done through its proxy (on localhost and port 2020 as usual). When looking at Evernote logs, I found the following errors: 2015-04-11 18:48:06,234 ERROR [ak] - retryRequest()::executionCount1:: exception=javax.net.ssl.SSLProtocolException: Read error: ssl=0xaf59c200: Failure in SSL library, usually a protocol errorjavax.net.ssl.SSLProtocolException: Read error: ssl=0xaf59c200: Failure in SSL library, usually a protocol errorcom.android.org.conscrypt.NativeCrypto.SSL_read(Native Method)com.android.org.conscrypt.OpenSSLSocketImpl$SSLInputStream.read(OpenSSLSocketImpl.java:728)org.apache.http.impl.io.AbstractSessionInputBuffer.fillBuffer(AbstractSessionInputBuffer.java:103)org.apache.http.impl.io.AbstractSessionInputBuffer.readLine(AbstractSessionInputBuffer.java:191)org.apache.http.impl.conn.DefaultResponseParser.parseHead(DefaultResponseParser.java:82)org.apache.http.impl.io.AbstractMessageParser.parse(AbstractMessageParser.java:174)org.apache.http.impl.AbstractHttpClientConnection.receiveResponseHeader(AbstractHttpClientConnection.java:180)org.apache.http.impl.conn.DefaultClientConnection.receiveResponseHeader(DefaultClientConnection.java:235)org.apache.http.impl.conn.AbstractClientConnAdapter.receiveResponseHeader(AbstractClientConnAdapter.java:259)org.apache.http.protocol.HttpRequestExecutor.doReceiveResponse(HttpRequestExecutor.java:279)org.apache.http.protocol.HttpRequestExecutor.execute(HttpRequestExecutor.java:121)org.apache.http.impl.client.DefaultRequestDirector.executeOriginal(DefaultRequestDirector.java:1393)org.apache.http.impl.client.DefaultRequestDirector.execute(DefaultRequestDirector.java:702)org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:694)org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:516)org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:494)com.evernote.android.a.h.b(TAndroidHttpClient.java:181)com.evernote.e.h.i.m(UserStore.java:373)com.evernote.e.h.i.e(UserStore.java:364)com.evernote.client.f.b(BaseSession.java:162)com.evernote.client.t.b(EvernoteSession.java:767)com.evernote.client.SyncService.a(SyncService.java:6461)com.evernote.ui.fh.run(EvernotePreferenceActivity.java:179)[...]2015-04-11 18:48:21,111 ERROR [ak] - retryRequest()::executionCount1:: exception=java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed outjava.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed outcom.android.org.conscrypt.NativeCrypto.SSL_read(Native Method)com.android.org.conscrypt.OpenSSLSocketImpl$SSLInputStream.read(OpenSSLSocketImpl.java:728)org.apache.http.impl.io.AbstractSessionInputBuffer.fillBuffer(AbstractSessionInputBuffer.java:103)org.apache.http.impl.io.AbstractSessionInputBuffer.readLine(AbstractSessionInputBuffer.java:191)org.apache.http.impl.conn.DefaultResponseParser.parseHead(DefaultResponseParser.java:82)org.apache.http.impl.io.AbstractMessageParser.parse(AbstractMessageParser.java:174)org.apache.http.impl.AbstractHttpClientConnection.receiveResponseHeader(AbstractHttpClientConnection.java:180)org.apache.http.impl.conn.DefaultClientConnection.receiveResponseHeader(DefaultClientConnection.java:235)org.apache.http.impl.conn.AbstractClientConnAdapter.receiveResponseHeader(AbstractClientConnAdapter.java:259)org.apache.http.protocol.HttpRequestExecutor.doReceiveResponse(HttpRequestExecutor.java:279)org.apache.http.protocol.HttpRequestExecutor.execute(HttpRequestExecutor.java:121)org.apache.http.impl.client.DefaultRequestDirector.executeOriginal(DefaultRequestDirector.java:1393)org.apache.http.impl.client.DefaultRequestDirector.execute(DefaultRequestDirector.java:702)org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:694)org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:516)org.apache.http.impl.client.AbstractHttpClient.execute(AbstractHttpClient.java:494)com.evernote.android.a.h.b(TAndroidHttpClient.java:181)com.evernote.e.f.w.e(NoteStore.java:1907)com.evernote.e.f.w.b(NoteStore.java:1898)com.evernote.client.f.b(BaseSession.java:378)com.evernote.client.SyncService.a(SyncService.java:4171)com.evernote.client.SyncService.a(SyncService.java:3130)com.evernote.client.SyncService.a(SyncService.java:3045)com.evernote.client.SyncService.o(SyncService.java:3262)com.evernote.client.SyncService.onHandleIntent(SyncService.java:10464)android.app.IntentService$ServiceHandler.handleMessage(IntentService.java:65)android.os.Handler.dispatchMessage(Handler.java:102)android.os.Looper.loop(Looper.java:145)android.os.HandlerThread.run(HandlerThread.java:61)If I desactivate the proxy (direct connexion again), no more issue, the data upload works fine. I also made tries with Evernote on my desktop and Androïd phone (plain Lollipop 5.1), with AdBlock Plus again, and this problem does not exit. Does the issue come from a SSL issue when the data upload goes through a proxy on 5.0.2? I can't be sure. But, as I think many people still use Lollipop 5.0.2 and AdBlock Plus, I write this post just to give the workaround: if facing the issue in the same configuration as me, just desactivate AdBlock Plus proxy, and EverNote will work well again Regards, Ardemius
  5. Hi all, I am trying to start afresh with my Evernote account and have deleted all my notes, and would like to delete the tags that are associated with it, but when I right click on the name tag, the delete action doesn't do anything. It works when I create a new tag though. These tags have been imported from a Notebook I was sharing with a colleague, but the tags didn't synchronize so we decided to unshare the notebook and that I would delete all the notes and the tags on my acccount to start again the sharing process. Does anyone of you know how I can delete these "old" tags? Thank you in advance for your help
  6. I have an evernote account. I have all together 107 notes in one notebook. I wrote all them on my windows evernote application. I have labeled them. But when I look in the web evernote, there are not all labels and the notes are not in the same order from the top to the bottom, as in my windows evernote notebook's. And when I log in from other windows PC computer, where is also installed an evernote, I see the same as on web version (less labels and different order of my notes). I did synchronise them many times, closed both web and windows PC's - but looks different. What I have to do that I will see all labels on other PC and that the order of notes will be the same on both PC's. Regards, Activity
  7. I formatted my desktop and then installed the latest version of evernote. But while trying to sync from evernote web, only few notes are available. Things which i did : deleted trash from evernote web uninstall and reinstall Please help.
  8. H ell, I really hope you vcan help me out... All has been just fine with my Evernote for months and months until a couiple of days ago. I use the client on my windpows laptop and on my Blackbery. But for some reason my laptop client can't synch, don't know why. All files are synched correctly with the web version but thenew upodates are not comning diown to my laptop cleint software. The only thing I can think of isI took sone pics and attached to one note from my Blackberry, as 've done times before. It seems to be since then I've had these issues. As I said, the web version has all the new notes and attached photos from my phone. Any ideas please? Many Thanks, George
  9. Hi, I has been a few weeks now that my evernote on my PC and on my smart phone Android do not sync anymore, I use Evernote in a really basic way with notes. Am I the only one experiencing this or is it a general bug, before I had absolutely no problems at all. Sincerely, Samir
  10. Hello dear evernoters, Need some help from the community. During a 5 hour (offline) train ride, i've completely re-organized my notes, tags and notebooks on an OSX computer. Once back online, i've been running into sync issues which have since smoothened out, but issues persist. I visualize the problem by comparing notes and tag structures on the web server vs the computer. On the computer everything is as I would like it to be but on the web app: a) some notes do not have the tags they should notebooks and tags are duplicated with an addition of _expunged (notebooks with _expunged addition still have notes inside them, tags with _expunged have none) Basically I want to force sync and mirror the current structure on my computer to the evernote server, but can't find an option to do that. I've got over 8000 notes overall and a significant share of them affected, so (re-)sorting them out online is not an option due to poor mass update features of the web client and ultimately the time cost. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, P
  11. Hi all, I'm using Evernote 4.5.7.7146 (258477) and I've noticed data loss in notes. I've encountered this problem previously but I couldn't confirm it in my memory how it happened. Now I have a case which I'm certain. I've put local wifi temporary credentials into the note. Then I've used them next day no problem from the same computer. But the day after the credentials were gone. My Evernote is synchronised between two laptops and one Android device. I guess I don't have to stress how this kind of unreliability undermines usibility of such application. Best regards, Martinez
  12. Hello, I discovered Evernote on my android tablet recently , I started to use it and appreciated it, then I installed a copy on my win7 computer at work (yesterday). when logged in, I found all my notes - which is great-, I edited an old note, but when I wnet back home I found that the note was not edited, so I edited it again (not the same modifications as the first time). Back to work today, I find the note on my computer as I left it yesterday. This is confusing for my, when I edit a note on one device should not I find the text modified on the other device? is this normal? Thanks for help
